Thin linear ultrasonic motor

In this study, we propose a miniature linear ultrasonic motor that uses a thin hollow square stator. The miniature stator has a height and width of 4.5 mm and a thickness of less than 1 mm with a center hole of 2.7 mm for inserting the slider. The slider is designed to have a slightly larger diameter than the diameter of the stator hole, and the cylinder expands radially and contacts the inner surface of the rigid stator. This design provides both a hollow structure for centering a lens and an optimal preload for enhancing the motor thrust force. We build a tiny thin linear ultrasonic motor, characterize its performance, and demonstrate a visual feedback control for camera module applications.
直動動作をする小型リニア超音波モータはカメラデバイスを中心に高い重要があります．より高画質の画像を撮影するためには，大きなレンズを動かしてピント調節をするリニアアクチュエータが必要ですが，デバイスに合わせて厚みを薄くする必要があります．提案するリニア超音波モータはこれまでに用いられてこなかった振動モードを組み合わせることで，ステータの厚みを薄くすることに成功しました．開発した小型の薄型リニア超音波モータは4.5×4.5×0.9 mm（縦×横×厚さ）で，実際にレンズを動かしてピントを調整することが可能です．

The motor is fixed by electrical wires. The frame for fixing the motor needs to be redesigned.

WHOA. The friction of the stater and slider must be minimal. Are there specifications on the step precision of the movement?

The friction value (preload) has been adjusted to get maximum thrust. Unfortunately, the resolution of the slider movement is not evaluated, but the motor should move the slider in a few microns.

I don't know much about air compressors, but my proposed motor may be used for some parts of compressors, such as air valves.

The preload can be adjusted by changing the outer diameter of the slider. In this study, several sliders with different diameters were prepared to change the preload.
