#3 answer. Good idea but them it would be permanent fixture to one side of the garage. It is a portable unit to be moved around if you need to. That I like.
Love your enthusiasm mate 😀👍. Im aiming to get a similar design lift for my home garage, what I like about it is there's no 'platforms' under the rockers as with the other mid lift designs. Im thinking of recessing it into the floor with plywood covers, doing a lot of work on the place atm so digging one more hole wont make much difference 😅. If you havent already, take a look at 'diy wooden wheel cribs' lots on youtube, theyd work great with your lift if you want to work down the centre of the car with the lift lowered off for access to exhaust, trans, lines etc. You can make them tall as you like within reason. Cheers D
You are correct it's really awesome. I could do more work to it that I couldn't before. Plus I'm planning to do my own oil changes. That's going to save me $$ for my cars. More videos on it coming soon.
@jameswan670 You can change the oil pan gasket, starter, exhaust headers, exhaust pipes, and muffler. All front and rear suspension work. Brake jobs, and rotate tires, and change motor mounts. I don't know about dropping an engine or transmission. You definitely need two posts for that kind of work. This is still a great investment if you have more than two cars. And you know prices are going up just for a simple oil change.
Do you still like your lift. I going to pickup the same model in 2 weeks. The resellers in my area near Montréal as the 2 Titan scissors lift. I prefer SL-6600 at 3000$ to the MRL-6000 at 2600$. On my opinion the SL-6600 is better structurally design and everything else. The only down side of the SL-6600 dosent lift as high a then the MRL-6600.
No regrets at all best investment for a home garage. I did oil change, brakes, muffler on the ford ranger and suspension work tire rotation on my town car. It's a lot easy for your back. You're not hunch over bending down or laying on your back under the car. The SL-6600 is the right height and size for me. I have a 9-foot ceiling. Right now, the town car is in the garage with the lift under it. And the ford ranger right next to it with walking space all around both cars.
@@Pantherforlife Good to know your happy with it and for me also it is the same with the back issu. I don’t like the idea of having two post almost in a centre of the garage wen you don’t use it and also whit the scissor you can freely walk around your car and open the door. . My plan is to built a bracket on the top of the wall and using ans electric hoist to lift the scissor cylindre side vertical for storage.
@@docteurdre8450 Hi, just curious to know if you ended up buying the SL-6600? I'm also looking at one from Équipement de Garage Montréal Inc. Thanks/merci
@@ClassicBMWFanInQuebec Hi! Yes I did buying the SL-6000 as plan and really enjoyed my purchased. It is absolutely solid and well made. No complain at all about the design and construction. My only downside is I will have to build and small stool lower than the regular one that you can buy. The regular mechanic stool are little bit to high for preventing to hit my head on something under the car. My idea for the stool it is because the SL-6000 lifting eight is lower than MRL-6000. Other than that I recommend absolutely the SL-6000. If you google it Equipment de Garage Montreal, I did make a review on google about my purchase and the pictures you see on google with the white Jetta is ma vehicle. At the same time I used my lift as and adjustable work bench by putting a sheet of plywood on it.
www.eastwood.com/titan-lifts-premier-series-mid-rise-scissor-lift-6-600-lb-capacity-sl-6600.html I paid more 3,789 with shiping and handling included. From the truck all the way into my garage.

Did you use 2x10 or 2x12 boards for the ramps and how long did you make them?
I used 2x12 this is the video ruclips.net/video/BBmOxgZ5Jjo/видео.html
