Not stupid! My mom suggested this to me today, and I'm going to try it with mine that busted yesterday. Thanks!

Not a stupid video. Actually shows us what we will possibly encounter during the process of fixing a hose step by step.
Some video's show it all Pretty as if it was easy as 1 2 3
    We learn by mistakes.
    Great Video 👍

Good Video .Man you got a large garden - Guess you've been . I would use the same technique except also pour super glue directly onto the hole and squeeze a little to close the hole. Just make sure you dont glue your fingers on the hose with the glue otherwise you will be shopping around with the hose following u around

i duct taped it real tight and then wrapped it around with plastic rope, round and round without leaving a spot unwrapped.. that worked really well

Duct tape is like WD4O, you can use it for everything.

From experience, you could have had better results with more careful tape winding. The hose flexibility and because it's hollow makes it difficult to apply the tape tightly. Plus, by trying to apply it while holding the roll added to the difficulty.

ok, going to give it a try since I have most of the hose buried and don't want to dig it up. Got a hole from a rock.

Regular duct tape sure doesn't work. Maybe Gorilla is better however the video shows it works for at least a few seconds.

@@ketofitforlife2917 I just did this with my cheap-ass hose. My recommendation is to use a long long piece of heat-shrink, preferably the type with glue on the inside. Center the shrink over the hole, and take your time with the torch. Slow and steady, and keep the flame moving.
