I'm seriously in need of purchasing the G7943 as a bench tool saving space (or Floor mount G7944)as it offers the lower speeds for drilling metal as well as light milling. Have a few simple questions.... 1. On the G7943, What is the maximum working distance from the spindle to the lowest possible table adjustment in the event of a large/tall piece needing drilling ??? ...... 2. Is there a heavy duty cross slide vice available at least 4 inch minimum that would be completely compatible accessory for mild milling operations ??? I like your presentation & it seems Grizzly has some real quality products ... All the best & stay well Sir !!!

Hi Stan! The maximum distance from table to spindle for the G7943 is 16", but our Tech Department does not recommend using that machine for milling work as it's not rigid enough and would likely damage the machine. If you have any more questions you can contact our Tech Department at the information here: www.grizzly.com/contact ! I hope that helps!
