Thanks for your review. I had just ordered the older white model and then I saw your review. I quickly cancelled the order and ordered the new one. So glad I saw your review - I didn't realize there was a new model that fixed many of the short-comings of the older one.
You’ll be much happier with the newer one. I’m in the middle of building two wooden model ships and I use it often! Nice work surface for detail work. Thanks for taking the time to share.
My drill press is literally waiting for me to take it into the garage. I was looking at the older version DPA2412T as an add on, but for $5 more your review has convinced me to go with the newer DPA2513. Very nice review and for anybody considering the older version the 2 cons were the taller back and the channel for the block. You addressed those problems, plus the handle. Thanks again.
Absolutely! My son builds a lot of accessories for his woodworking shop, but we both purchased this table. Still love it and use it regularly. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!👍
Yes, but you can make your own that fit perfectly. I think I show it in the video…. But note; I showed the wrong tag at Menards…. So just make sure you get the correct width and depth. I’ve got the specific info for it at home. Unfortunately I won’t be there until next week…. If you need it, just make a new comment next week and I will respond. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.👍
Thanks for the review. I have the same model setup and it performs very well for me as a DIY’r. I bought b/c it couldn’t be made for the cost of the parts. The stop block feature is great. Thanks for the tip on the replacement plug. BTW: the Wen drill is a keeper as well. I looked at every other brand for similar money and Wen is just a better quality press with more features.
Thanks for watching. On the replacement plug, I accidentally show the wrong size…. So be sure to measure and the correct one is on the shelf next to the one that I showed. Thanks again.👍
Regarding the insert, you made the comment eventually, but I'll reiterate it: Save the insert as a template. Go ahead and use that to make a few replacements on your table saw as soon as you get the insert out the box! Additionally, you can experiment with making a "breathable" version (i.e., a few large-bore holes) so dust collection can happen on both sides and won't strain your vacuum in the process.
Good points! Thanks for contributing to the conversation. I regularly use the table in wooden model ship construction using micro drill bits. Very happy with my decision. Thanks for watching too! 👍👍
I took a 1/2" file and slid it into each aluminum slot and filed off the BURS on the top of each screw hole so they don't interfere with the sliding of the bolt heads.
Great. You’ll be much happier with this newer version. I’m still very pleased with mine. Thanks for watching and taking the time to share positive feedback.👍👍
I’m very happy with mine too. I mostly use it for very small ship modeling crafting and it’s preformed great. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 👍
Thanks Dan. Great looking product. I just ordered one myself ( new project requires drilling thru 2" round dowel - this will be great) Maybe mask off ruler and spray with clear coat ???
Not sure regarding spraying with clear coat as it’s at the same height as the table. They should have slightly recessed it! But all in all, it’ll work great for a work surface and holding your work in place. The price is less than half of what other similar products are. My son tried building one and thinks the WEN I have is a better choice! I think you’ll like it. I just posted another Pearl video…. I made a construction error: I used the wrong stairway spindles 😫…. I need your attention to details!👍
If you can carefully cut the sides including the metal channels I don’t see anything that would be an obstacle. I just looked at mine and measured the 4 inches in on both sides. Nothing to prevent it. It’ll just be less wide.

My wen table must be the older version you mentioned. I received it today, 9/29/2022 and it does not fit the Wen drill press I received yesterday, 9.28.2022. I will have to drill a couple of holes into the table in order to secure it to the drill press table. Oh, my table is the white table....
Yes, that’s apparently one of the improvements made in the orange version? I’m still happy with mine as it easily clamps off and on. Thanks for watching, sorry yours isn’t working out quite as you wanted.

Unfortunately for me, the fence cracked where the t-track with the stop is. had to throw it away. Put a Temu aluminum fence to replace it. Kept the stop, though.
That’s disappointing. Wondering if one could be made out of solid wood? I use mine regularly, but not so much with the fence. Drilling with micro bits for model ships… it’s all pretty little duty. Thanks for sharing, it’ll be helpful for others 👍👍
You’re welcome. I don’t use it often but it’s very useful for my needs. I’ve been building wooden model ships and it has been well worth the investment! Thanks for watching 👍👍
It comes with one. Over time it’ll just have holes drilled in it. So actually, you don’t need to replace it. Just a little update: I use it often in model ship building. Still love it!
Just to support what ever it is that you are drilling into. For example, I drill very tiny holes using micro drill bits. So if there’s a large hole underneath a small piece that I’m drilling It can effect the drilling process. Micro bits break apart very easily and any tilt and they snap off. If you are only drilling larger objects, it’s probably not needed. Thanks for watching my video. 👍

Currently I’m on vacation and won’t be able to confirm the 90* angle for a couple of weeks. I’ll do my best to remember….but if you haven’t gotten a follow up from me by the first week of March, send me a reminder!
Let me mention that the table attaches to the metal platform of the drill press. The metal platform of the drill press is what tilts….. But if you’re referring to a true 90* for just the fence on the table (which now I suddenly think I know what you’re asking 😁)…. The table connects to the fence on the two rails so you can put a square on it to get a very good 90* degree. As far as the 90 from how the fence sits on top of the table, I’m very confident that it would be very accurate….. but I will confirm that when I get home.👍
I haven’t tried yet. I’m usually drilling very small holes in wooden model ships with little debris. If I want the shop vac to pull away chips or dust I just clamp the hose close by. Sorry I haven’t pursued it more. Thanks for watching 👍👍
I’m adding a follow up to my reply…. I’ve been using the drill table quite a lot recently and I really like it! I’ve done micro drilling on some wooden tall ships and it makes the repetitive holes accurate and duplicates are exact! Regarding the shop vac adapter, it’s easy to clamp the hose on and off so I still don’t see the need for my use…. But as for the table itself, the more I use it, the more I like it! Definitely worth the $50!
Have you or anybody reading this found a simple way to add a spindle/ motor speed control? Nobody really messes with the 5 pulleys. It would be great to set it to one speed and then use something to dial in your speed. Thanks.
I can’t help you with that. We’ll have to rely on viewers to respond. I only use mine for light duty wood projects on my model ship building hobby and only use it on one speed. Thanks for watching and I hope this platform works to get the answer you need. 👍👍
