A lot of interesting insight! Before Pariah Nexus dropped I thought that War Dogs and Armigers would be key for a lot of armies with middling Battleline. I always thought Plague Marines would be good enough on their own so DG wouldn’t need the War Dogs, but with recent experience I reckon it’s not a bad choice. Chaos Spawn are also incredibly annoying to deal with, regardless of which army runs them. They’re definitely a good selection. I don’t personally play DG, but I have a mate who plays them and his list has a lot of similarities with yours (except his list is still tailored to Leviathan, though it is still quite potent).
The main issue I have with them is that you can't really run them on their own. Without leaders or a Rhino, they really struggle to punch up. And with them they cost so many points. I know right! I'm liking the Chaos Spawn more and more as I use them :) What is your friend having success with at the moment?
@@Rokkis_Gaming_Lounge Mowers because they can actually threaten stuff. Spitters have utility but the mowers actually do cause concern as the D2 means you could realistically pop a Rhino or similar.
This is a cool list, I've come to the same conclusion with PMs - just too many points with too many charcters needed to make them work, also it's only really the heavy plague weapon that does any work and hitting on 4+ is grim if you run into -1 hit. Spawn are under-rated, even though ours don't get the same buffs as WE Spawn any WE player will tell you how awesome they are: M8 T5 3+ in cover & can move through ruins, tougher than Cultists & actually able to punch up, FNP & heal if not dealt with. LOC & 6 DST is brutal into most things. It's not a popular pick but worth mentioning that the LOC really shines in Blightlords, especially on an obj. The BLT attacks are weaker but AP is still nice & the volume is far better... it goes to bonkers when you pop Sang Flux. That unit will kill most things. Rotigus has to be one of the coolest models in 40K, he is another awesome pick.
I used to run LoC with Blightlords when I didn't own many Deathshroud. I thought they were pretty good too! Was nice being able to take a full unit of them with LoC in a Landraider :) Really looking forward to experimenting more with Rotigus. I forgot to mention in my video but when I used him last game he exploded in the middle of the board and did over 20 mortals (about 1/4 of them were to my own units haha).
@@Rokkis_Gaming_Lounge Rotigus is so good - his damage output makes Morty cry. Just one thing, if you have Spawn & Drones I'm not sure you need the Hellbrute, he's pretty costly to drop -1AP when you can just get that by pushing up. He could be another 3 DST to drop in and support/pressure.
@Johnny5Alive7 that's a fair point! I'll try him out and see how he goes. But would definitely be one of the first on the chopping block next time I make changes
I'm also enjoying the LoC with 6 DST, and even tho it is overkill sometimes, I like the consistency it provides
It's such a reliable unit right! Last game my opponent had to look twice when I told him he had to make 20+ saves at ap -3 haha

I always take triple bloat drones and 2x10 cultists, it's been great in Pariah Nexus!
What loadouts do you prefer for the bloat drones?

Me too, they use to be my favorite unit haha
since our codex will be far off , maybe time to make Fun builds lol..
