I usually do not put vents on my ackie enclosures. Not a lot of people do. Air exchange between sliding glass (and opening the enclosure) should be enough.
So we have two ackies about 6 months old and we think on is a boy and one was a girl. Anyway one of them is starting to like smell the other one and then we have only see it done twice and it has bit the neck of the other. We are thinking of separating them. Could he be trying to show dominance or is he trying to kill her?? Any tips.
One of the most dangerous times for co-habbing Ackies is between 6 and 12 months when they are sexually maturing. Most injuries between enclosure mates happen then when they really start to care about dominance and territory. I always recommend having a PROPER standby enclosure ready for cohabbed Ackies in case of fighting.
depends on how old. I started at 125 and slowly build up to 160. Fine to stop at 150 (this is max temp). 6 months probably aim for 135. 8 months 145. Roughly.
Imagine 12 feet of substrate.
I'm not gonna lie, your ackies look like the velociraptors from Jurassic park.
Where did you get that rock hide at 2:55?
Short sweet and to the point!

How many watts is the uvb bulb? I have a juvenile red ackie and he just got moved into his 5x3x3 enclosure.

Do u know where to buy large enclosures for ackies
Animal plastics enclosures
Thats what I ended up just doing despite the wait time.
My baby Ackie monitor is not wanting to eat and my store doesn't have live crickets or roaches so I am stuck with worms
make sure to have diversity in their diet!
