LOVE that Gilad's bass-line-playing sounds so grounded and in the pocket. He has a great touch, a wonderful sense of space, and an ability to tell a musical story that balances simplicity and complexity and a host of other performance details...I really like his songs, too. This was a wonderful conversation to listen to. Thank you both!
Gilad's playing amazes me. Thank you both. And Joel, I appreciate your attempts at these chord stretches. My hands are smaller and are literally aching from trying just a few. Good Lord.
He is a VERY creative guitarist, but it seems to me that he allows his note choices to affect his rhythmic pulse giving a kind of jagged feel to the music.
