I actually wore my Black Oiled Truman pair today. I love Truman boots. Just received today my MTO Java Waxed and the Evergreen Cheaha last week.

I want to see more people yelling at Horween for calling their chamois "chamois" when chamois is a weird goat-antelope creature that is a source of leather for Europeans and they just call it "chamois" because they're mimicking it. But it's not a goat antelope! It's just specially finished cowhide! The people want real chamois, liars!

I have the totally blacked out Trumans in Horween Black Waxed Flesh, and the Benzein Stride in Black Horween Chamois smooth side.
Also the upland in black shrunken bison and the 6” in black double shot . Oh and the upland in black tea core from Horween on the Christy wedge.

How would you go about "shaving" down the nap? Didnt notice at first but the nap on my Truman Woolie Bully rough out boots do not match at all. Is this fixable without damaging the boot? Had to send back my first pair of Trumans over a similar issue and just didn't feel like going through it again, but I'd love to have them match! Left boot looks like a perfectly manicured putting green and the right looks like a cow pasture..

Dale , can you please talk to someone at Grant stone and ask them , are they able to make a rugged service boot like or similar to these Truman's, only because there Diesel and brass boots are casual to dressy side , where those Truman's are tough and go with jeans nicely ...I would buy them quickly if they can make a boot like those trumans..Oh yes the term manly is what I wanted to say and that's what grant stone does not have yet with there boots .

Wow, good comparison.. I will order one pair of them. The only problem, what I have is the sizing. I have an 11.5 on the Oxblood double shot and is not perfect.. I find the shoes to be very low at the front and am thinking about taking a size larger for a new pair. I have HtT 11.5 and HtB 12.5 with C to D widths on the Brannock. I measured the soles from my Iron Rangers (the flat insole from Red Wing) and the Truman insole, which I removed. These are approximately the same length, although the Iron Ranger is 11 and the Truman is 11.5. This explains why many write that you should go half a size larger for Truman. I think that the last 20 should be best because it is higher at the front and a little wider at the side at the big toe. I wrote to Truman and sent photos of myself standing on the Truman insole etc.. I asked if I should use 12D or 11.5 EE for my Brannock HtT 11.5 and HtB 12.5 D width. They said that EE was way too wide in the wrong places and I should stay with 11.5D or buy with deposits 12D. I´m from Germany, with shipping and tax does it cost about 700 Dollars that's why I'm worried. Like many, I would like a toe cap pair with the 20 last, but it's probably hopeless to get something like that. Great YT channel👍
I had same problem with truman 79 last , I bought the dark coyote roughout , my normal is size 11 D , I went half size down as directed , and it was way to snug and tight had to send back , I'm thinking maybe my normal size 11 D , it's time consuming figuring out and sending back and forth.

@@low_perspective I'm 11 D . I purchase 10 half D which wasn't good fit. In time will order again when I get extra money and will try size 11
That’s surprising that the Iron Ranger fits you in size 11 but the Truman’s in 11.5 are snug. Are the Iron rangers also snug? Only thing I can think is maybe the Truman’s are built on a stiffer leather so tougher break in?
@@DalesLeatherworksMaybe that the HtB felxpoint is the problem.. I just tested it. The Truman have the flex point further back because the sole is much thicker than the cardboard soles from the Red Wings. The Red Wing flex much further forward to suit my shorter toes and long arch. So I will place my next order for 12D and only one pair until I figued it out. The Iron Ranger are not perfect but ok in 11, the Blacksmith perfect and the flexpoint after break in is ok.
