    A sample of coal gas contain 45% H2, 30% ch4, 20% ch4, and 5% C2H2 by volume.100 ml of this gaseous mixture was mixed with 160 ml of Oxygen and exploded. Calculate the volume and the composition of the resulting mixture, when cooled to room temperature and pressure.....mam can plz you solve it for me with step by step explaination.....plzzz mam...any how plz solve this one

    Mam u said gaylussac laws doesn't play a role in liquids. In the numerical they asked when hydrogen reacts with oxygen it forms water which is liquid. how r u calculating the composition of water using gay lussac law. kindly clarify my doubt

    Mam here composition of resulting mixture is asked...but in the resulting mixture there is no oxygen in any of the reaction...so how can you calculate it in the end?

      There was excess oxygen in reactants, so some will remain unused. Therefore oxygen will be left in resulting mixture

      In the video ma'am, you have said that when carbon and then something which reacts with oxygen will give CO2??
      What will be there in instead of something... I didn't get that word

    1]Acetylene burns in air forming carbon dioxide and water vapour. calculate the volume of air required to completely burn 50 cm cube of acetylene (assuming the air contains 20% of oxygen).
    2] 224cm cube of ammonia undergoes catalytic oxidation in presence of platinum to give nitric oxide and water vapour. calculate the volume of oxygen required for the reaction . All volume is measured at room temperature and pressure.
