Holy Shit this is the greatest looking video game I have ever seen. As a person who lives in New York and has been to Time Square many times, it is surreal seeing how realistic that Time Square stage looks while having all the alternate guilty gear universe stuff all over.

I’ve not played a fighting game since SV5s release and got my fighting game kicks from watching max play in his videos. Downloaded the beta for this just because I needed an hour to kill after beating resident evil and my god is it so much fun to play. And after playing it I finally get the importance of rollback net code. Most games felt like I was playing my brother couch coop and not trudging through a swamp. Truly changed my attitude towards playing fighting games online. Thanks for highlighting this game for me max!

I'm enjoying the beta so much. My only gripe is not even with the game, but that I hate the dualshock 4 for fighting games. I generally use other controllers on PC so I constantly feel like I'm fighting my controller instead on an opponent.
I've only been able to play the second beta for about 5 minutes so far, but I think other games have wired my brain differently since the first beta, because suddenly this game feels very slow when it didn't before. And I don't know if she actually got changed, but something about Gio feels...different. Nago is definitely better though, that's good
Today I tried GG for the first time ever... ngl I'm kinda confused. Went to dojo, open command list and it was literally 4 normal attacks few specials and some "supers"... Fighting game I played the most is tekken so where are the combos?
Most 2D fighting games are not like Tekken, where you have a predetermined combos. You have to figure out how to combine normals and specials between each other to make combos.

Wait Anji used to yell "Fuujin!" at the START of the move? Even when you held it for autoguard? That totally negates the whole purpose of the spin being a mixup.
I think the most infuriating thing to me about the betas is that it feels like absolutely no one read the open beta announcement in detail or completely forgot about it once the beta actually happened. Everyone SERIOUSLY THOUGHT Strive wouldn’t have rematch; one of the most basic features of a fighting game in 2021. It’s like everyone skipped over the part in the announcement that said they’d exclude it specifically because they wanted to test out the netcode with a variety of conditions. Like, Jesus, I shouldn’t be as mad as I am but even fucking Max thought it wouldn’t be in. ArcSys might not always make the best decisions but they aren’t THAT stupid.

It's likely cause the intros have the lip flaps not matching, so it feels wrong.
Also depending on the character it's the inverse like sol imo

Nagoriyuki easily has the best English voice by a country mile.
