"I'm Geoff Castellucci, a simple guy..." he says in the description. But let me tell you this one has it all! Plus he keeps outoing himself! I bow to you, Mr. Castellucci.
I would love to believe that somewhere Jim Croce is smiling, smoking on a cigar, propped up on a stool behind his guitar and smiling at Geoff for this rendition. RIP Mr. Croce, we surely miss you! Great one, Geoff.
I'm fondly remembering all of Jim Croce's songs that I loved so much as a teen. Lover's Cross was a particular favorite to sing and play. I'm so grateful Geoff decided to refresh his legacy. What an amazing songwriter Jim was.
Give Geoff any dusty old song... Geoff adds his voice to spice up the wonder with depths and heights and perfect harmony and a big dose of freshness... and you've got another masterpiece! He does all this with such easy confidence as if there was no hard work behind it. I'll never get tired of Geoff dusting off the old tunes! 🔥🎶💙
"Well she's dead, Jim." Ya done did me in with your Bass. When I thought you couldn't hold that low note any longer, you done did it again....even lower. Your breath control is definitely legendary and your bass the 8th wonder of the world. Don't mind me as I sit quietly in my corner and listen to this on loop forever.
Another ditto here. I remember listening to this song with my dad, along with many others Sir Geoff has dusted off and redone. Wish I could share them with him.
You are great...keep up with hat God gave you as a blessing..I hope you make lots of money since that's what this world is about ...truth hurts ....I do enjoy your voice...

The chorus parts in this version of the song are phenomenal. It's crazy how one man can sing pieces as if he's 5 separate vocalists, and then when they are all put together it becomes the perfect harmony the way it does here. Geoff...you're a legend in your own time, and I'm always looking forward to hearing something new from you brother.
Sitting here with tears in my eyes picturing my dad's reaction to this. As with so many of the older songs you cover,he loved this one. Thank you for keeping these songs alive.
When I was a kid, it was a testament to how much I loved a song, if I skipped a couple of lunches at school so I could use the money to buy the 45! Lots of singers have been loved and some forgotten over the years, but Jim Croce has never left my playlist. Delighted to see one of my most recent faves do such an excellent arrangement and cover!
I see there's a new Castalluci vid, I click. That's all I need to know. That being said, another triumph! The voice and the range are a given, but I love the minimalism in this one: no props, no costumes, just Geoff. And to top it off, switching up genres yet again. We never get the same old same old from Geoff, he's always keeping it fresh.
As i watch this for the first time, im on my way to go see A.J. Croce live in Vegas, performing as his late father. I was raised on Jim Croce, and seeing his music in the modern day always brings a smile to my face. Love this cover, and would love to see a cover of "Time in a Bottle" as well!
Yeah, I've asked for that as well! I, too, grew up on Croce in the late 60s/early 70s (so tragic that we lost him SO young in '73 I think) and Time in a Bottle was my favorite song for many years. I sang it myself in talent competitions as a kid, without ever truly appreciating the depth of the lyrics - how does a child truly grasp lyrics like that? I mean, I was an old soul even then, but oh, how much deeper his words resonate now...
Don't mess around with Jim? Don't mess around with Geoff. I was just getting used to four, now there is five! My heart and ears can't take much more. Where do I send my medical bills to? Because if I keep listening to this gentle giant, I will need to seek medical advice. Oh Geoff you hurt so good!!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
Unglaublich, wie kann Mann nur so gut aussehen und dann auch noch so eine Stimme haben? Jedes Video ist ein neues Highlight. Viele Grüße aus Berlin Germany
Yeah, I was waiting for one of the Geoffs to resolve that low note, and then he did, and then I melted into a puddle on the floor! As a music teacher, I really appreciate how Geoff and the Geoff's cover songs that I have never heard before. I do the research and go teach them to my students! The songs that Geoff chooses are a completely different style than what students are listening to now. They are more thought-provoking. I've had many students. Tell me that they really enjoy the material!
Do you also teach your students the originals? It would be a great way for them to realize that music from their (grand)parents' generation can be great?
Somehow this combines all of my very favourite things in a Geoff cover and I'm obsessed. It's got a real crunchiness to it that I can't get enough of. So good. Geoff, thank you for once again sharing your gifts with us!
As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I was like, "Uh oh - there's 5 of them this time!" And they didn't (never!) let me down! A great cover of a classic American song!
"Time in a Bottle" was our song (my beloved hubby of 38 years and mine). We would dance to it whenever it played on the radio. He would always "dip" me at the end of it. I sang it to him as he lay dying in hospice and I think he heard me. Can't hear it to this day, 14 years later, without bursting in tears. Life is filled with tragic losses.
Mr. Castellucci, you have done it again. You have made an old classic great again. Thank you for blessing us with such a great rendition of a great song. Geoff you and your voice are a blessing from heaven. You are in fact quite handsome too. Your wife is a lucky woman. Take care. Thank you for making me like that song again.❤
Fabulous! You are a one-man orchestra! I swear it sounded like several different people were singing! And long hair suits you very well. You are an impressive person!
Jeff, I’m 66 and have heard many singers but never one with your beautiful range and voice. I know that must take a lot of work that people don’t realize. Anyway, I just wanted to say I’m a big fan and congratulate you for your success. WELL deserved!
What a fun Mother's Day present! Yes, I said Mother's Day. My grandmother loved this song (especially the chorus) and would sing it to us all the time. You brought up so many memories and had us giggling and telling Grandma stories - after we had watched your video a bunch of times, of course. :-) Thank you!
When it comes to dusting off old tunes and making them exciting and fresh and new, you don’t mess around with Geoff. 💪🏻 Once again, Geoff, you’ve blown me away with your arrangement. I’ll never tire of you surprising me with a minor chord when I was expecting a major (and don’t even get me started on your love of minor 7 chords 😍). ‘Man of Constant Sorrow’ better watch its back - we may have a new contender for favourite song.

There is no need to imagine Geoff's vocal capabilities. But the plastic of his body attracts no less attention.
