What is Earthing? - Earthing is a fast-growing movement based upon the major discovery that connecting to the Earth's natural energy is foundational for vibrant health.
"The Earthing Movie: The Remarkable Science of Grounding" is directed by Sundance Award-Winning filmmakers Josh and Rebecca Tickell (The Big Fix, FUEL, etc). This is a feature-length, documentary based on their viral short film entitled 'Down To Earth,' that reveals the scientific phenomenon of how we can heal our bodies by doing the simplest thing that a person can do…standing barefoot on the earth.
The winner of the Audience Award for Best Documentary at Dances With Films Festival, the film shares the Tickell family's journey with the healing power of grounding, aka earthing, and the people they met and learned from along the way; featuring grounding pioneer Clint Ober, author Deepak Chopra M.D., actress/activist Amy Smart, author/activist Mariel Hemingway, cardiologist Dr. Stephen Sinatra, renowned healer Dr Joseph Mercola, engineer and physicist Gaetan Chevalier, PhD. and many others.
Over 20 peer-reviewed studies have shown that Grounding (Earthing) reduces inflammation...one of the most damaging internal biological processes that leads to chronic disease. So get out there and put your feet on the ground, and/or increase your grounding time indoors with grounding products. Your body and mind will thank you! Read up on all the studies and research at earthinginstitute.net
Watch this Q&A with Mother and Filmmaker Rebecca Tickell as she shares her family's healing grounding experience, which ultimately led to the film being made:

I think they are onto something here. What’s weird is the happiest I’ve ever felt in my life and balanced were on trips to the beach. Where me and my family would vacation for a week and 80% of the time you’re there you’re barefoot.
    Think about it people

Try walking ALONE through a swampy marsh. If grounding really works, you'll get the same effect as on the beach. Truth.

I get on the dirt as often as possible, but I’m dealing with a painful spinal stress fracture from cancer. The pain is greatly improved when I ground. My recent CT showed improvement . I pray that I can buy a grounding mat very soon. Thank you. My need for pain meds are decreasing.

I am no expert but I know how to use a simple multi-meter to measure voltage. You measure the voltage in your body with the meter. You can get one at Home Depot, etc. If you are grounded your Voltage goes to zero, or close to it. What I would like to know is how important is it for you to make the ground connection close to the area of the body you want to heal. It would seem if you are grounded the whole body would benefit, not just the area close to the sheet, foot pad, or whatever you use to ground.

Grounding to Mother Earth and nature so important. Coming from an Indigenous background grounding an excellent healing tool. Most where rubber sold shoes which disconnects the connection of high frequency from the Earth natural frequencies. Remember as a child or saying small children there's a reason they dislike shoes I wonder why that is? It's simple but a very effective. Thank you.

    • @harrybrooks8514
      @harrybrooks8514 3 года назад

Don’t know about you, but I loved shoes as a kid. I also loved going barefoot 🦶🏼 in the appropriate places. One of those wasn’t fields of clover ☘️; too many bees, wasps, and velvet ants. Kid shoes seem to be made better and are more comfortable than they were when I was a kid. If you were made to wear Stride-Rite®️ shoes, there CERTAINLY WAS a reason you liked barefootin’. It had nothing to do with longing for ‘connectivity’ with Earth.
And how recent was it when my indigenous brothers learned about “high frequency”
      “connection” with the Earth?
      Ever heard of Occam’s Razor🪒?

  • @harrybrooks8514

Maybe we all should go for broke and run around naked. I realize that this would upset cultural norms, but it may amplify earthing to a greater extent. Winters in Green Bay and Detroit are going to take on new meanings 🥶

Vague waffle, stylised graphics, next to no actual explanation, little or no reference to any science, and presented by people, filmed in a way that appears convincing, but who need to more to demonstrate that they have earnt their supposed titles of MD. The one thing that might make this work for SOME people is that placebo is an observable clinical fact, that assists with some ailments. However, placebo also accounts for any of the benefits of snakeoil if they ever occur for anyone. I'm with the electrical engineers who have pitched in here, and who will no doubt point out how electrical energy will go TO earth. EARTHING's claims seemed carefully designed to make an association in the minds of suggestible, vulnerable people, who seek relief, that connects a folksie good feeling about the Earth [Mother Earth, etc etc], talk of 'energy' to that audience's fragile grip on physics and electrical earthing. The private company EARTHING deosn't seem to provide any proper peer reviewed science to support its claims though. Nonetheless, in order to achieve a profitable turnover, I would suggest that they will take advantage of the laws of probablity. They only need a fairly small percentage of worried poeple with pain or fatique [that perhaps needs medical treatment which is hard for many to afford in the US] to spend a chunk of money on a piece of kit, that, in actuality, does nothing more than activate the buyer's placebo response, if the buyer is lucky.

Gee, I wonder if this means the ancient practice of Yoga is all placebo too?
After all, grounding I'd at the very core of thousands of years of Yoga Practice...
I guess maybe EMF is good for you, and people who get sick from 5G are just having a placebo response.

The thing that is intriguing is that you can actually measure the voltage in your body with a simple multi-meter. It is well accepted that you don't want to live near high voltage power lines. But at my desk it is like I am being slowly electrocuted by 4 volts of electricity. After a month of ground of about 10 hours a day - it does seem my arthritis is greatly diminished. I use a grounded pillowcase I got on Amazon for about $30. Later I bought a foot pad for my desk because I have such a high voltage reading while sitting at my desk not grounded.

@@benmartin81 I'd suggest the voltage you're saying is 'slowly electrocuting' you is not actually doing that, but do whatever works and makes you feel a bit better, is fine, especially if youre living in the US with no effective free to use public health - so, you've also invested in wanting to feel better, and that has likely produced a placebo effect, which is a clinically recognised phenomenon. Good luck
