Love your channel. You might want to try using a sharpened toothpick to pick out fine details. I work in N scale and use toothpicks frequently, especially for painting figures.
I love the detail you put into your projects! The red long John's are hilarious!! Maybe put a bullet hole in the Kroch like in the movie Silverado!🤣 Like you say The devil is in the detail!! Great Work as always!!!
There's nothing like the smell of fresh cut wood in the morning right Dave?! I love this build and it looks perfect in this scene. Thanks for sharing the process of the build especially the painting technique but also on the figure as well.
Another Fantastic Build! Thank you for taking us on your adventures and sharing the Story of Thunder Mesa as it develops. Your narration as each seen develops, draws us in like a well written movie. It becomes alive within our imagination. Creating opportunities to place ourselves in the middle of the action and developing our own narrative for deleted explanations, like - why the ladder is upside down on the new build. Since retiring a year and a half ago, I’ve been working with and developing my skills in PLA 3D printing for my future HO scale layout. Although, you continue to draw me closer to getting into Laser cut structures as well. The artistic detail you share in the woodwork provides a timely completion over the work that must go into plastic creations. Thank you for keeping us all Moving Forward in our Imaginations and Skill developing. BTW what Laser Cutter do you use?
Looks as if you were able to color grade everything and adjust for the lack of lighting. Fun build! That must have been quite a test of courage to stand on that railing and mount those antlers!
Hi Dave, awesome as always! Just one suggestion / idea: At the beginning of your video, there are strong (and for me, irritating) reflections in your glasses, especially from the circular light for filming. Based on my amateur photography knowledge, a polarizing filter might help reduce those reflections. Definitely keep recording your highly interesting and entertaining videos - with or without reflections. I really enjoy what you do. Thx!
Hmm.....appears to me you were just a mite influenced by your quaint, always tilting little town of Jerome, when designing the Robber's Roost Cabin. Thanks for another fun build.😉
Going through your videos again Dave... Great tip/explanation of the difference between shoe dye and India Ink. Very helpful because I've had that exact issue with India Ink/IPA. That is... The ink coagulates out of solution over time, or I've even had it do it in a brand new mix. I switched to Denatured Alcohol instead of IPA, but still have the same problem. Will give black shoe dye a try.
I agree that this video covered building and figure painting. Thank you. What brushes do you recommend for painting the file detail required on the figure?
Merci pour vos magnifiques vidéos qui me font rêver....
Un fan francais 🤗
The music at the end pulled everything together, making the video and modeled scene ooze "old west". Great work.
This video was a great 2-fer. Not only was the build quality, as usual, but the figure painting mini tutorial was great too
The red long-johns hanging on the side makes the whole cabin seem lived in. Nice touch!

Amazing detail and thought went into this little building! I really like the multicolor plank technique on the walls. Thanks for sharing!

The one word that keeps coming to mind during your builds is Charecter!
Outstanding!
A fantastic job!🎥👍👍👍
Just gorgeous, nobody makes beatup dirty rotten wood like you do.
Another great build.
Thanks for all the tips.
Enjoy watching your videos
Interesting choice of location. Putting the Robber's Roost next to the Police Station.
Came for the laser cutting. Stayed for the Bob Ross...
So basically same as every one of your vijeos 💯
great build love the colors
What a great build an tutorial on it. Love the long John's hanging on the railing. The antlers were a nice touch too.
GOD BLESS 🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖🚂💖
Fine build. Great technics.
Dave, this has so much character, love the outlaw in the window
I have no doubt you do a better job than any original building in that time! Love to watch you do your magic!

Such character in your builds!!! Loving all of the details ❤
Really awesome addition 😊😊😊
When I grow up I want to be like you one day.
The secret is: Don't grow up.

Theres actually a garage on stilts across the road from my studio that was a big inspiration!
This is what you do best! Thanks!
Looks real good..

Thanks! This is a pretty good set: a.co/d/1iqKLpq
Dave, Who manufactured your matts that your doing all your building and Cutting on?
Those are from Fiskers. I like them better than the X-Acto matts because they are two sided.
Great build, how do you go about designing the trusses
I was expecting the flap in the back of the long-johns to be open or at least partially.
Look closer. It is open
LOL How many times have you explained that? You just need to make a 30 second video on the shoe dye recipe and point people to it.
😆
Your only claim to fame as an outlaw is when you have your own wanted posters 😂
