Im so glad we dont have testing here. I love Masterbooks for science specifically the Let's Talk Science series. For math I looked into Masterbooks but not a fan of the "story telling" aspect. We've been using a free printable (i dunno if its considered a "curriculum") up until this school year where I feel we need a proper math curriculum. We are using Primary Mathematics the 2022 edition.
The Let's Talk Science was our favorite science so far too! The stories from Math were also a favorite with my boys, they connected to the story which helped them in their excitement to "learn alongside Charlie and Charlotte." Best of luck to y'all this year!
I have a rising 2nd grader and I was very torn between CLE and TGTB so we're going to do both! CLE will be our main language arts program and we will work on that 4 days per week, and I printed the writing/editing/geography pages from TGTB for a change of pace on Fridays. For math we'll be finishing up CLE 1. Wishing you a successful year!
