Thanks for sharing! Question, for Fix It Grammar, I know it's intended for 3rd grade and up, and am wondering if I can start usung that for a 1st grader. My question is, I guess, do you think it's appropriate for 1st graders? Or your son is just so advanced? 😊
I think it will work! My current kindergartener is close to done with his level 1 LA, so he is further ahead, but I would say for an advanced 1st grader it’s appropriate! I would also base it off if he likes to edit sentences. Mine loves it, if he didn’t I would hold off on grammar or pick a different program. I’m purely doing it for him because his older brother will be doing it and I know he’ll want to join in 😂
Thank you! Yes mostly TGTB, but when they were little I heavily focused on letters, then phonics and never did memorization of words. I think that’s really helped them with decoding. It meant in the very beginning struggling through some Bob books, but then once it clicked (for my second it was a month into kindergarten, for my first even younger!), they just start leaping forward by reading and I’m pretty hands off at that point. Just there to help them sound through a word if it’s incorrect. I do think I have a video on teaching them to read, I think it’s my how I got started homeschooling or something like that 😂 sorry not super helpful lol
Loved your picks! Thanks for sharing. I have a question where did you found the old version of the Good and the beautiful. I wanted to do the old version with my kids but I couldn't find them on their website.
Thank you!! I actually saved them all to my computer years ago 😂🙈 *just in case* lol but I’ve seen the older versions pretty often on the Facebook sell group!
I hadn't heard about God's Big Story yet, so thank you for sharing! I will definitely be ordering that for my nephew.
It’s so sweet I’m really thankful for finding it too! Thanks for sharing ❤️

This is awesome, thank you!!! One question…. What program did you use to teach your kiddos to read? Just TGAB program + readers or anything else?
