In answer to your question, dragnink09, the sky backdrop is indeed a mural that I airbrushed directly onto my friend's garage wall. ;) It was then lit from below, behind the forced perspective miniature set, to suggest the sun going down. I think there may have also been some fill lights on the foreground, just to ensure it didn't go completely dark.
De la nada youtube me recomendo esto, que puedo decir es simplemente hermoso!!! Hasta me saco una lagrima ya que de chico me gustaba mucho jugar con muñecos de dinosaurios, Exelente Trabajo!!!
Phenomenal job. Could you go into any detail about how this scene was set up as far as lighting? Is that a mural in the background lit from the front? Very inspiring work!
Thank you very much to upload full movie!! "Muttaburrasaurus: Life in Gondwana" was described in japanese movie book, I hope to watch this movie for a long time. But I could not watch becasuse I'm in japan. I'm so happy to watch this rare dinosaur movie. Thank you!!
This is incredible. Tippett-like! Even more anatomically correct, I'd say. Beautiful. Is there a full video compilation of all the stop-motion animations together? This would'v been amazing in HD as well.
I have no words. It's just.. Incredible. I watched all the parts and damn, that was so good. You did a great job. Also, I have a lotta questions. What are these dinosaur models are made of? Same question goes with decorations such as trees an etc. Also, about water. *How* you made it like that in this in stop motion. And oh god, sorry for being so annoying, whete did you film that? Like, the background and the light. You just inspired me to start doing dinosaur stop motions again. I was doing some simple ones (Like Fred the dinosaur man did), but when I saw this, I wanted to do something simmilar.
This is amazing work, I discovered these videos shortly after they were posted. I have to admit these videos made me want to make dinosaur movies. I've been doing stop motions since I was 4 years old.. Is there any way I can contact you for advice/tips with my film I'm making for a scholarship? I'm planning on going to UCB for paleontology..

It looks absolutely incredible!
There are times when I wish I'd gone into animation. After watching these five vids, this is one of those times. Excellent work.
I remember seeing this as a kid. I also got a book of the show.
Nostalgia from 2015
Beautifully done! Not just the dinosaurs themselves, but the sets as well.

These compositions and colors are stunning.
Stop motion dinosaurs shall never die. Never.
Tremendous effort by all involved in this film!🤗👌👍🦖🦕🌴🌴🌋

Wonderful animation, and the eye of an artist. Harryhausen and Phil Tippet would enjoy this mightily.
Excellent! There is nothing like tactile hands on stop motion!!! Beautifully done.

beautiful, just beautiful.
How a great animation and models! WWD movie should be like this!
And they were living happily ever...!
I think I read somewhere that Ray Harryhausen's first ever project was also a documentary about dinosaurs.

Giving Phil tippet a run for his money!

nice!
What type of sauropod is that?
Steve Jumpman I think it's an Austrosaurus. The film was made so long ago, it's sometimes difficult to remember. ;)
