One of my favorite things about Ocean Cay is that it's not over commercialized like other private islands. I like the peacefulness, it's a perfect beach day. I hope they don't change it too much or start porting 2 ships at a time and ruin a good thing they already have. We're heading back in December and I was looking to find a video of the changes they were talking about when we were there in November.
Yes, it didn't have a PC beach feel at Spring break, which is not relaxing at all. Too bad they can't find another island to ruin for that. Don't get me wrong either, sometimes I am in the mood for a Spring Break theme but not when I want a cruise to get away.
Better enjoy it while you can, I like this place because it's not CocoCay. Really, really want to do a cruise with a 2 day stay there but can no longer find it. That was a good concept.
We were there earlier this week on the Magnifica and they were driving pilings adjacent to the current pier as well as dredging, perhaps they are building another pier to avoid tender access.
They DONT NEED TWO SHIPS AT ONCE. The main attraction of the island is the realness of a tropical island. Hotel!! Are they crazy? The last thing I want to see looking out to sea is a hotel next door. What they DO need to do is to operate a more efficient shuttle system and maybe another seakers food court, but that’s all I can see that should be done. What makes Ocean Cay so special is the “feel” of being on a tropical island. If you want to go to a hotel, go to Bimini.

I agree the natural beauty of the island is the draw.

Loved Ocean Cay!
My favorite private island
I do love it there and hope they do things that don't have a BIG UP CHARGE for things once built.

They need more there. They shouldn't charge for umbrella
I agree
I like that it's not as commercialized as some of the other private islands. Perfect relaxing beach day.

Could be. I am surprised they’re dredging though.
If they put in a pool hopefully they have it heated. Royal Caribbeans oasis pool was soo cold😅
The adults only was nice and toasty! 😎
They can definitely use a pool even a small Waterpark would be nice.

I agree with you. It’s so nice au natural!
