From my studying of Marines, a great many did actually use those types of canteen covers.
The USMC didn't develope it's own canteen pouches until later in the war.
I could be wrong, of course, but it seems in early battles in 1942, such as Guadalcanal, had Marines with much closer gear to the army.
amazing war uniform...amazing
Thanks for watching
I love the look of it
It really makes this Knapsack usable you can also put this on the end of the M 1956 pack adapter strap. Thanks for your support

The Marines used some army uniforms/ gear in conjunction with their own great video!
Yes I believe you are right about this fact. However there is a lot of people out there who don’t know/ or believe that they did. I mainly just wanted to let everybody know that, I know those were army items and not Marine Corps so I didn’t have 200 messages telling me hey that’s not a USMC belt. 😁Thanks for your support.
I love your content 😀

Does the Knapsack suits for both Submachine Gunner and Rifleman?
Yes
That’s actually quite interesting!
Could there be any correlation between this setup and the M1956 buttpack?
They seem to share a number of similarities!
I don’t know. This ideal came out in 1941 so I guess some of the design features could have been inspired by it.
