This is NOICE! I'd been in love with this melody for a a number of years, and about 6 months ago I started working on the tune. Finding melodic possibilities inside the changes felt nearly impossible. I've probably played over this track 200 times and it's been a huge help making it feel familiar and helping me discover the nooks and crannies. According to Benny Golson, he showed Stablemates to 'Trane, who showed it to Miles, who was the first to record it. The next time Miles saw Benny he said "Benny, what were you smoking when you wrote that?"

Bravo Phil, calidad máxima. Si me permites una sugerencia, no hay en "youtube" ningún "playalong" o cosa parecida de "Firm Roots" de Cedar Walton que valga la pena. Generalmente se suelen olvidar el puente en la parte de los solos, que es donde está la dificultad a la hora de improvisar. Seguro que si lo hicieras sería buenísimo como en este caso. Felicidades por el trabajo bien hecho y a ver si nos vemos pronto y tocamos juntos que hace mucho que no nos vemos. Un abrazo.

Toni! Cuanto tiempo hombre! Firm roots mola un montón a ver si puedo inventar algo. Lo más difícil es la batería. Mi amigo aquí me ha hecho bucles de 16 compases etc pero temas en concreto como ese o moments notice por ejemplo tendría que grabarlo con los golpes etc. A ver qué puedo hacer 👍🏼 dame un toque si pasas por Málaga.
