I don't care what anyone says Omega was fantastic as far as I am concerned. This final battle between Kouga and Saturn felt like a REAL final battle to a series with literally everyone helping and Kouga carrying the entire fate of humanity. Some people dislike this series because it's either too different from the og or because it's too shonen ish but I feel very differently. The differences are brilliant imo and make this series fresh and original while still retaining nostalgia of the original Saint seiya series and Hades ovas. The people who say it's too similar to other shonen of the time stupidly fail to see that not only was original Saint Seiya a product of it's time but also that the original series layed much of the ground work not only for this sequel but also the countless other animes they say are similar. It's hypocritical to only have such a complaint for Omega and not the og series. To me Omega felt like the near perfect sequel with a new generation done right. Not everything about Omega is perfect but the same is surely true for the original series also. Omega is how to correctly handle a " hand the future to the next generation " story imo. Seiya remained as important as he ever was and was on almost equal importance with Kouga as a protagonist in the second half. This is a story of young Saints who protect Athena and the world she watches over just as the heroic Saints before them did and carrying the torch of love and peace for all of humanity alongside those same heroes of the former era. And lastly for those who say " non canon! " Ryuho and other elements are considered canon even in the manga and technically the anime and manga just have two separate canons for this series. It's like how the Star Wars series has it's so called Disney canon and " legends. " They aren't really non canon just two separate stories that both exist.
This right here! I am so tired of people pouring the hate onto Omega either because of the Saori Seiya ship or because Koga isn't good enough as a protagonist. I'm glad I am not the only one in the world who absolutely adores the show and its heavenly characters.❤🩷🩵🧡💛💜🖤🤍
