Faith is very important to Mori....she is born again Christian, and in fact was Baptized 2 weeks ago. The writer of the lyrics for this passed away 4 or 5 month before this arrangement was released. He used it in a play back in early 90's called " First Name " and to honor his passing Gary V, the composer of the music arranged this especially for Morissette, knowing her deep faith....so the tears were very real.

Obviously an intimate song written for musical theater. A young woman, confused and wounded by existence, who doesn't find her own sense of life and seeks answers in faith. Mori is always been exceptional in acting when she sings. It's evident that she doesn't fake the emotions, she recreates them inside herself, removing the reality that surrounds her (the people around, the camera ...)... Stanislavsky method.
I remember a video by Stages Sessions in which she sings Hello live in a club. Mori was giggling and joking with people, saying that for her was difficult to identify with a song so sad because she was happy in that moment. A moment later she completely changed her face expression and was totally in the role.

I had typed a long comment expressing to you, how much I appreciate your channel. The screen started jumping up to a box That said keep writing or discard and every time I hit keep writing it kept bouncing around and all of a sudden album about the first two lines of the message were disappeared. I figured maybe it was too long.

Morisette is a Christian and that means Jesus, whom she is singing to, is the Messiah, the deliverer, for both Christians and the Jews along with the rest of the world. Jewish people are beginning to realize that Jesus was Jewish! But they affiliate Him to Christianity because those who recognize what his death on the cross was about become Christian in faith because with His death on behalf of the world, He can then offer us life forever with Him and His/our Father above. Morisette's tears at the end were real - straight from her heart in gratitude! Hope that clarifies what took place here.

There is a good tagalog song but not morissette. It's jona, same caliber w her, the title is Ikaw Pa Rin. A song about someone longing for a lost love. Pls try.
