I'm from Goa, there are 3 best hidden place .
1) Butterfly beach (south Goa)
2) Heart shaped lake (Vasco)
3) Rajbag beach and fort (cancona South Goa)
Club's:- southern Deck (one of the best club in South Goa)
(The butterfly beach is really hidden so the car doesn't go and walking will take one hour or two)

There used to be a time when Palolem used to be an undiscovered gem Beach with crystal white sand and minimal classy crowd. But that was 14 years ago. Not anymore.

It was a peaceful tiny village the first time I visited. 2 chia stands near the beach and 3 little local cafes around the village. It was 35 years ago though. I remember eating a small kingfish with rice and veggies. 16/rs.

those are coconut trees to be specific and fall undee the palm category but its different over here as we in goa have a little bit of different understanding for palm and coconut.
If you watnt THE best beaches in India.. you gotta go to the Andaman & Nicobar islands.. I gurantee you .. you both would absolutely fall in love with that place... it is way less crowded than Goa... and the water is just soo much clearer. Btw.. you guys are soo adorable together
Goa was a Portuguese colony , that's why you will see European/ Portuguese influence over here. We love football, Ronaldo. You can visit famous churches of Goa some of them are UNESCO world heritage sites. Goa has the Highest GDP per capita compared to the rest of the states of India. Best Cities to Visit are Mãrgao , Panjim and enjoy the colonial architectures still preseved even today.
Goa is different from the rest of India more than 40 per cent of Goa's population is Roman catholic. A lot of tourists domestic (Indian ) you see on beach aren't Goans they are from other states who come over here. You will definitely get a different vibe compared to other states. Beaches are quite relaxing and beautiful as Goa is in West ( not South) the beautiful sunset can be enjoyed. Do visit famous places apart from beaches.
Please visit Dudhsagar waterfall in Goa.
Please visit Chapora fort located in Bardez, Goa just for sunset. Watching Sunset from Chapora Fort is a feast for the eye. Believe me I have been there twice and the view at sunset is worth a million.
The trek to fort is less than 5 mins so nothing to worry about. Make sure you carry a water bottle and wear good walking shoes as it's a steep, gravelly climb.

Rough sea might be due to some natural causes ..otherwise it is very much quiet sea in Goa..don't know but there may be a monthly high tide as in other places..
That first beach is definitely THE find of the trip.
You get high tides here because Arabian sea is an open sea directly meeting with Indian Ocean. It is a wild sea.
The first beach is cola beach... The roads leading to the beach is very bad but once you reach the beach you realise it's a hidden jewel

south Goa has some of the best beaches in mainland india . but best beaches are in andaman n nicobar islands and lakshadweep islands .
Come to Northeastern part of India... Specially- Sikkim, Meghalaya, Assam, Nagaland, Mizoram... You will love the Natural beauty.. Full of Hills and Snow..
And even you can visit Himachal Pradesh and to place like Shimla, Manali will woo you... Snow falls

Hello Matt and Molly, Goa is where I am from. My grandfather and grandmother came down from Portugal and lived in Goa. Both grandparents owned property galore, but because of one son, because he had a bitch of a wife. He destroyed it for the entire family. My Nanna lived on the rent of the coconut, and mango trees. Goa was great when it belonged to the Portuguese rule. But in 1962 it was invaded by India, and today it is not the way it used to be. During the Portuguese time. Goa was like Singapore. There was law and order all over. You wouldn't see a drunk on the road, or a drunken brawl. That is why my heart now holds a special place in Thailand.
If you go to adaman or nicobar Islands it's much calmer and shallow . A tourist heaven.
For me it's better than Goa. I want to visit once.
The sand is like desert sand. Nice beach. Good view.
