The best chess lessons. I have watched a lot of egoistic, good chess players explaing the game. Varuzhan Akobian is a modest genius that explains things for players on every level. My game has improved since I discovered this channel. Recommended watching for all intermediate players.
Great Lecture Mr. Akobian. I like the part when you say the black bishop is worth more than the rook because it is not easy to open any files for the rooks to penetrate.
I think GM Akobian would get rid of the majority of senseless suggestions by requiring each student explain the reason behind their move rather than entertaining every outburst. Even if the right move is suggested I don't think he should say, "right" unless they also have the right idea.
What are the top 3 books in your opinion to learn chess strategies? Be it to master 1 strat, or have a good grasp of chess in general. I'm low level. I'm talking somewhere between lvl 5-10 vs cpu in a scale of 1-100
interesting that the opponent was an international master. I always wanted to become a master so that i get piece coordination and see so far ahead that an attack doesnt get my entire game into disarray, but seems like even as master you are arnt save.
Rewatching this after 8 years...

In the study after move ...Qh1 would Qc5 work with the same idea for the decoy/skewer on the b-file?
There's Qxb2 checkmate though

in the endgame study when black plays queen to h1 cant white play queen b3 and wait for black moves?
he probably mentioned it and i missed it
What is the name of the software to present games?
38:58 I like bh4+ it takes one move longer but looks prettier imo
great idea ,,,,,,
Don't rush!
at 23 minutes you could play ng5 then e5 if he takes then e4 wins material
more games with Akobian handling the black pieces would be cool. love these games.
very cool
Thank you 😂, GM Varuzhan "don't rush" Akobian for making my life harder in the Gruenfeld defence.
best one

get rid of that old geezer with his stupid comments... superb lecture anyway
why you attack my pisses??
51:30 Qc5 gg
His Qa4 move is nothing special. Black has the immediate e5. A suggestion from the audience of Nd2 seems better according to my computer lines.
33:57 ahahhahaha

Amusing wry smile at 20:27 after some clueless mumbling about hanging bishops!
