    Yes Sir , I am also waiting to be reviewed & acknowledged by you in respect of my earlier large comment about induction motor rewinding based particular scenario of sacrifice in efficiency .

      After rewinding, motor efficiency goes down due to low quality winding material & damage in core laminations & increased leakage flux.

    The story behind reduction in magnetic locking is clear now Sir , But the stories behind reduction in Humming Sound & Harmonics issue , may please be covered in the 2nd part of this question Sir .
    Yes Sir the reason behind not skewing stator slots for reducing magnetic locking - that's also quite excellent .

    My basic understanding may please be reviewed & acknowledged Sir for induction motor starting current which is as follows :
    Motor windings being inductors basically with some finite resistance also in series , when switched onto a source of voltage , there takes place the phenomenon of transient as a result of which a high (exponential) inrush of current is formed owing to the fundamental property of an inductor according to which current through an inductor can't be changed instantly .
