    Im an avid buyer and am shocked to see the new fees for buyers! And, no transparency until the final fees are calculated? Shame on them. And to pretend they are protection fees but offer NO additional value. I just declined multiple purchases I planned to make…. This will hurt sellers. I don’t plan to buy on here anymore unless it’s a necessity (which I don’t anticipate).

      What do you mean no transparency until the final fees are calculated? If you make an offer, can you not see what the final cost would be BEFORE the seller accepts??!

    Literally just started buying on Posh 2-3 weeks ago. I was happy with it and enjoying my time shopping. I even decided to try and sell a few things. Well today I made an offer on an item being unaware of the new fee structure. I would have had to pay almost $20 over the offer I made to purchase the item. I cancelled the offer, emptied my closet, and deleted my account. If they think American’s are going to PAY for the privilege of paying for something, they’re high.
    This is not going to be good for sellers and it’s a barrel full of cope if someone thinks it is.

      @@RadResells That's not enough--it must be in the list price, upfront, in the listing, by law--specifically, CA SB 478, the Honest Pricing Law. Other states have similar hidden fee laws. Disclosing the fee in the checkout flow, even if it's before the buyer pulls the trigger and finalizes the purchase, does not comply with the law's fee disclosure requirements. Go look it up. I am hoping PM gets slammed with a lawsuit by CA and other state attorney gen's if they don't fix that ASAP. My problem is not with the fee itself and the favorable seller fee structure, as sellers deserve it, and that 20% cut was extortion--it's the lack of transparency for the buyer that's shitty.

      The buyer is probably paying the Credit Card processing fee. Like Mercari. This is fast becoming normal in retail stores. My Merc sales are doing better or equal to Ebay. I'm happy with the changes.

    My fear is that the hot shot sellers with the posh pass and youtube channels (no offense, I love you guys!) will likely benefit from this change. The smaller, part-time sellers like me will loose buyers. I think i have to start ebay.

    The seller is still paying around 15-18% in fees if items are below $50 and now posh collects that twice from buyer and seller. Before the posh fee was just the sales price only. It definitely makes items over $50 a better deal for sellers but sucks for the buyers. I am probably going to lower my prices by 10-15%. We shall see how this impacts sales. I think that this might be distorted over 4th quarter. Lets not forget the $5.95 shipping is only being supplemented by Posh until 12/31 and then I am sure the $2.02 will be passed onto the seller. The reduced shipping fee is definitely going to become a big advantage or disadvantage for sellers going forward. I have actually been thinking that I am going to offer the $4.99 shipping since it is only going to cost me $0.96.

      I feel the Posh Pass will probably another fee after Dec. Businesses do not make changes like this unless it benefits the profit margin for the corporation. My husband Uber’s. They take 48% of the fare. Now they offer “promoted” option to “get better paying rides”. So, I am going to sit back & see. I do not relying on this as a income. I strictly do it for charities. I do understand why sellers are apprehensive.

      @@RadResells after further investigating today, I figured out that I would pay the $2.98 shipping fee difference vice the $0.96 difference as originally I thought. Basically it is either Posh Pass or seller discounted shipping and you can’t combine those. I am thinking that either sellers will have to cover the $2.02 after first of the year or posh will make it a subscription-based program, which will almost be mandatory after buyers have gotten used to $5.95 shipping over the next few months.

I accepted a $15 offer thinking I would gain back a little money with the change but instead of PM taking the flat rate of $3.00, PM took $3.45!! So, now I'm worse off as the seller?!? I'm not a posh ambassador, so my buyer had to pay full shipping. Do you understand how this new structure is beneficial to sales $15 and below? Thank you!

    • @RadResells
      @RadResells  2 месяца назад +1

      Heyyy thank you!! Omggg I just did the calculations and it’s correct… Your fees became $3.45 due to $2 flat fee (that’s for all $15-50 items) + 5.99% of order total ($15 item + $7.95 shipping + 7% sales tax) which is about $1.45….
      If your item was $14.99 then you’d pay $1 LESS in fees (in your case, your fee would’ve been about $2.45 which is cheaper than before)…. So it seems we should either reduce all $15 items by 1 penny, or increase the price by a few dollars to make the fee «smaller than before»… 😵‍💫
      Thank you for bringing this to my intention!!

    As a seller I like the lower fees on all platforms, but from a buyers standpoint I can see why they would be upset. My sales on Depop and Mercari went way down since the 0% selling fee, as I seller I like that concept, but in reality that is not fair for the buyers to pick up the extra fees. I have been doing really well on Poshmark lately, and I like that instead of the 0% selling fee, they split the fees between both buyers and sellers. I think Posh will be fine still, it will take some adjusting for buyers. As you and others have stated I will start taking some lower offers cause of the new structure. Ebay's fees are ridiculous for sellers, and their return policy is garbage and buyer friendly with a 30 day return policy. Ebay is hit or miss for me lately, reselling clothes there is harder for me because of all the sellers undercutting the prices to get a sale driving the price down on certain items that should be higher. My overall opinion is that nobody will ever be happy with the fees whether it is the buyer or seller lol.

    • @RadResells
      @RadResells  2 месяца назад

      Agree with soooo much here!! ☝🏼☝🏼Our mercari sales went up since the 0% while depop stayed the same, and Posh now seems to be «the same» as before for us but we’re getting paid more per sale unless we accept a lower offer (which we have as well!). Ebay’s clothing comps are normally lower than on the other platforms, i rly wonder why 🤔

    • @waynelanger8146
      @waynelanger8146 2 месяца назад

      @@RadResells I think Ebay comps are lower because there are too many sellers trying to sell the same items and they want a sale so they take lower offers or they are undercutting the everyone for a sale which drives the price down, especially items that should be at a higher price point. Depop used to be my bread and butter for sales, but since the new fees structure it has dropped, I still get sales but not like before. Mercari sales has always come in spurts for me which I never understood. I even lowered a lot of my prices by at least 10% on Depop and Mercari when they changed their fees to help the buyers. I also think a lot may have to do with the shipping costs on Depop and Mercari being higher. Poshmark used to be sporadic for me as well, but is my best platform. My sales have been consistent the last month or so.

    I used to buy on Poshmark but don’t like the flat rate of 7.00 for shipping greatness of the item. Most items for sale on their are used and damaged and priced way too high. Old beat up shoes sell for way too much. Dirty clothing with holes and lint too. Make it make sense. Why are people buying that old damaged stuff?

    • @Chicago48
      @Chicago48 2 месяца назад +1

      I will tell you why people buy "used". Especially if you're a woman with kids. 1) Some brand names & styles are hard to find. The retailers esp. fast fashion will produce a garment and put it on the floor and the garment is gone in one month. Thus "fast" fashion. Fast turnover. So if you're a buyer, you see a suit you want but don't have the funds to buy it, you go back to the store a week later and it's all sold out. It might be on the clearance rack, but it won't be in your size.
      2) NOT all used clothing is beat up and damaged. You don't buy from buyers who don't show you pictures that are true to what they are selling.
      3) Shoes cost a lot of money retail. Boots @ retail cost money. I went shopping for Sneakers and couldn't find any for less than $69 and the ones on the clearance rack are usually returns. Sometimes I go to Marshalls/TJM and find a sneaker but it's not in my size.
