so excited to share my initial thoughts for the polene numero sept bag! this is a beautiful piece and I'm so glad I was able to purchase it from their flagship store in Paris. I just became familiar with this bag today via You Tube. I think it's gorgeous and at such a great price point. Enjoyed your review very much. I agree about the long strap.
Beautiful bag! I ordered one and I’m impatiently waiting for it. :) One quick tip: I put my makeup in a little pouch before adding it to my bags so that it’s all together and I don’t have to worry about a cap coming off and ruining the interior of one of my bags. Hopefully, that helps!
Congrats on your new bag Joanna - I hope it comes quickly! Let me know how long it ends up taking as I haven't gotten a chance to purchase online yet and I've definitely been eyeing another style. Great tip about the make-up pouch, I will definitely be doing that in the future, especially since the interior is a raw leather lining.
Hi Ivy, do you think the bag is suit as travel bag? Like is it too heavy? And is the strap comfortable for shoulder?
hi! Personally I wouldn’t recommend it as a travel bag. It’s a bit bulky and its not something i would want to bring with me traveling because it would not be suitable as a personal item. I look to take bags that i can fit into my luggage or carry on. It’s not super heavy but its very structured so its not the most convenient bag to take on trips. I usually use it more as a regular day to day bag…
Hi ! Is the grained leather version like a soft leather, kind of like velvety or is it a hard leather ?
hello! since the bag is more structured, I would say its a little more stiff but not necessarily "hard" leather. the texture is similar to a "pebbled" texture.
Could you unclasp the long strap and pull it out that way? Would that work? I absolutely love this bag, but the fact that the long strap is not removable is a showstopper for me.
I've tried that and unfortunately it does not really work or look very good! I feel the same, I dont like how the long strap is not removable :(

Return policy is an absolute nightmare. They will hold on on your money even if you post it back. Think twice before ordering from them
thanks for the heads up Naila! Did your order online or buy in-store? Either way that sucks, return policies should be more flexible but I've seen similar experiences for a lot of EU based stores like Selfridges.. customers have said the same thing!

I ordered online, delivery was quick , upon receiving same day I emailed them and said that it’s not suitable for me and asked how can return it, they said all returns should be pre-approved,they ask photos and reasons for returning, then it got approved. I was told to pay £10 postal charges to send it back, I agreed and posted it back via dhl.next day. It’s been nearly a month and they have received bag but still trying to delay refund process by saying they it will take another 15 days for them to check. I am not the only one, today I saw on truspilot so many people complaining over return/ exchange policy. I am still waiting to get my 340 pounds back. And I will not buy from them anything as it big risk and huge stress
