@@joejones9520 Lear was more of a preachy government propagandist, while Jimmie was a comic, not actually political at all. People that are not political and that believe in basic behavior values are constantly called 'conservatives', when the reality is that revulsion generated by the preachy propagandists tends to push many people to any alternative (which is typically the 'republican'). Lear didn't understand (with Good Times) that people mostly watch tv to be entertained, to laugh, not to be preached to constantly.

And if a person doesn't believe in your talent at all, as Mr Walker stated in regard to Mr. Lear, but said were close & we hang out......how can anyone be close to a person who doesn't believe in your talent, which, is a close inter part of yourself?

Years ago I did some research and found out he attempted several other programs and every sitcom even one drama kept getting canceled. It ended up then he gave up on TV at least in the format of being on a TV show that ran weekly. His final attempt was a sitcom in 1992 that was not picked up by the network ABC.

He's being dishonest and neglects to mention the minstrels ( to which he is known to be) and the historical stereotypes of African Americans throughout history. He should talk about the impact of the Amos and Andy show and it's origins from radio to television. He definitely has been a disciple of his girlfriend Ann Coulter. Because his anti black rhetoric is just sad and pathetic. No wonder his Good Times cast mates had issues with him.
