The song IS longer. The band jam's it out. Do yourself a favor: listen to the complete version. Anita really gets into it and you hear her say "lord have mercy" 😄
Yes...I was waiting for the end. Ha ha
Yeah, the album version is smokin'
I hate that the rest of this song is not played bcuz it gives you a feel of how the songstress and the band were vibing out in the studio. ❤️🎹🎼❤️
100%
"No royal kiss can save me. No magic spells to spin. My fantasy is over. My life must now begin." Yassss !!! That Greg Phillinganes piano solo at the end is FIYAH !!!! Nice young man. Very nice.
I AGREE👍🏿! And 'Preciate The Name Of The Person Playing The Piano 🎹."He Was KILLIN' IT!!"
Listen!!!!!!!!!!!
Anita’s a kinesthetic vocalists . Her singing style was inspired by a famous jazz singer named Sarah Vaughn. She literally taught herself how to sing in the key she does by ear & as a kid at that. Vocal coaches say that it’s nearly impossible to replicate Anita’s voice because of the different keys she sings in & the way she transitions from highs to lows without taking a breath. Her vocals are unmatched. She’s the best in my opinion.
Thank for the info!!! I had no idea! I just knew she is amazing and talented!!!
She’s a combination of Sarah and Nancy Wilson.
Only real brothas still like RnB
Always was and will Always be Anita fan one of a kind. She make you feel her hurt pain
The song does go on. The piano solo makes the song stand out
God this women's voice cuts through your soul love her ❤
"Same old love" by Anita Baker....Don't think you did that yet?? She roller skates in the video! LOL
Yes, one of her (few) more upbeat hits…her salute to her hometown Detroit (in video)
Definitely please listen to the complete version of this song. It IS DEFINITELY longer, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.
Listen to the whole “COMPOSITIONS” cd. The writing, arrangements, vocals, and musician solos will blow you away. I think that CD is her best. Anita Baker can do no wrong.
Piano/keyboard 🔥🔥🔥
So much truth in this song.

Anita Baker: One Night of Rapture is her live concert from 1987 I think, (it's is on YT). It would be cool to see your reaction; or just watch it when you get a chance.

Short true story. My mom invited me to an Anita Baker concert cause she had an extra ticket in 1988..., well being a child and immature I said, "no!" I'm still paying for that mistake in my head. 😆

That’s cool…
Yes, by all means, listen to the cd version of this song! It's the band that kills it in the end!
My G you have to add some James Ingram to your mix. Start with "There's no easy way to brake somebody's heart" .
I love love this song this has always been my jam 😍
Wore out Rapture cd. Next to Whitney, Anita Baker came in second.
Love Anita❤Rhythm of Love is one you should listen to next❤
Serious question my man, when you hear singers like this and the production, what do you think of singers and production of today?
Mj favorite singer
❤❤❤Hey Now! What's the younger visual version of Lyfe Jennings doing on youtube and why am this extra late discovering your channel?
Try whatever it takes you will love the ending
What I would love to see you do since you are listening to singers like Anita Baker you should dive into the singers that inspired her. When you drop a bunch of songs you should do one focused on jazz vocalists IMO some of the best singers in history are jazz vocalists. You should definitely check out singers like Ella Fitzgerald (The GOAT IMO), Dinah Washington, Sarah Vaughan, Nat King Cole, Tony Bennett and maybe some modern jazz vocalists like Kurt Elling, Gregory Porter, Esperanza Spalding and Dianne Reeves.
The song DOES keep going...it's all about Greg Phillangaines piano solo at the end!
OMG you listened to the single and not the album version. For shame. Still a cool reaction. Try the whole fairy tail 🤣
I saw the thumbnail and said to myself "this will be great. Wait until he hears the last third of the song." And they did not play a! We were both cheated.
The song continues, what happened? Do yourself a favor and listen until the very last note. The piano solo is actually played by her ex-husband (that loser) I digress, he played his ass-off on this song.
