- The Lallantop team is in Kerala to cover Loksabha Elections 2024. We are in Wayanad seat from where Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is contesting. Sonal Pateria and Amitesh went to a government hospital in his constituency. It was a CHC also known as Community Health Center and is also called as Taluk Hospitals by the locals. We visited this CHC during our visit to Wayanad in Dec'2023. My wife has to take one shot of rabies vaccine which costed us ₹10 in total....while in Delhi we were paying ₹330 per vaccine. We were surprised with the cleanliness of the place and the professionalism of the staff

I did my engineering from Cochin University in Kerala from 2012-2016. Even I got my first job there. In Kerala everyone greets you with a smile no matter whether you are known to them or not. I still miss those smiling faces here in North India. The peoples of Kerala are very possessive towards their environment. They keep their environment so neat and clean that there is rarely any type of pollution there. Due to this there is very few chance of falling sick. Even the climate of Kerala is so good. This shows up when you visit even the Governments Primary Health Care Center. I lived in Kerala for almost five years and weather you believe me or not, I never fell sick. At most I used to have cold whenever I had to come back to my college while returning from my village in Bihar. One more thing I liked is that there government staffs are punctual, very honest and very helping too. So is the Mother Nature. Even the nature don't make false promises, if its cloud, it will rain for sure. Definitely a Gods own Country. Miss you Kerala.
