As soon as I saw what you called your first cock up, I went to check mine, guess what, I had done exactly the same thing, fortunately I hadn't got to painting, it is now half way to being rectified! Great idea to cut holes in the plan and lay it on deck!
Nice… it took me about 20 years off and on to finish my 37 inch Precedent Perkasa and I don’t think I’m finished. The amount of potential for detail can be problematic - like, where do you stop. For example, I scratch built the 40mm Bofors gun out of styrene (there was no battlefrafts back then). I like the way you logically sort out your building procedure. Cheers..
there is a much easier way to do rivets... there is a company (who i forget) that sells rivet strips of various sizes you can order. The rolls are pre punched with holes, you cut a strip say 7-10 inches, peel off the self adhesive backing and stick down on your model where you want the row of rivets to be. You take RC56 canopy glue and dot each hole with a drop of the canopy glue then pull the strip back off and you have a perfect row of rivets that will dry clear and can be painted. the strip keeps its stickyness for many many re uses before needing to cut a new section off the roll. It may have been Williams but i cant quite remember.
Yet nowhere near as satisfying, I have done this for 30 years on RC Scale Model Aircraft, it works wonderfully well and once painted over they last forever.
The suggested technique for fitting the windscreen sure was awkward. Man, she's a big boat. Oh, and your method for adding rivets is genius.
Thanks a lot. Not my genius though. Learnt it from someone else 😊
Nice build. I have the ARK Model 1/32 scale Perkasa it’s a great kit all plastic and fibreglass with twin screws…
Sounds like a great kit. Have never seen it.
🎉Another excellent video with some great tips 👍
Glad you enjoyed it 👍

Sounds like they need to stress this in the instructions 😂. Using the plan as a template has made a huge difference.
Awesome work
Thanks a lot 😊

Wow, that is a long build! Hope you get there in the end 👍
@@modellingmisadventures mine's even longer! Bought the kit when I was 16 with my first pay packet, I'm 51 now! One day I'll finish it...
Great model, good work.
Glad you like it! 👍

I’ve heard of those but this is an equally well recognised technique (which is actually quite similar). Thanks for watching 👍
When you fibre glassed the hull you did not say or show if the decking was fibreglassed
No, didn’t glass the deck. Doesn’t suggest that in the instructions and there isn’t any need.
@@modellingmisadventuresThanks for the info on the deck must say watching you building the boat is a great help for us to follow
