I wasn’t expecting a catch and release ..
I thought he was Dinner for a few weeks!
Great Job on letting the king of Hogs live !
No. Bad idea. Those things need to be destroyed.
My Catahoula pup heard that pig and came tearing into the living room!!🤣🤣She was ready.......at 10wks old💪💪🤣
And that little guy's smile made my day! You could see he was having the time of his life!!!
That was a man size barr!

You just threw that mans broom down 🧹 🤣🤣
Lol I read this comment about 20 seconds before that happened
Like it turned into a snake r somethin 🤣
@@chiphazzard8173 right 🤣🤣
@@Dirty_Bird for some reason I just thought it was too funny 😂
I was like WTF, he just threw that guys broom like it was trash.
I did not expect you to release him. That was cool.
This is why I shouldn't read the comments before I finish the video.
@@chrisvogel88 I made the same mistake
Just ruin it for us why don’t u
He has just saved that hog for a rainy day (read another catch clean cook video :))
@Angelfire Solutions don't hogs destroy their environments though? even if it can't breed a hog that size is sure to eat a bunch of vegetation right? I honestly releasing it in the hopes of getting a trophy hog latter on is pretty selfish
Your heart grows bigger everyday, I love how you share that the world. Thank you Robert
It was great to let him go on the ranch. And thanks to you using everglades seasoning it has changed my life and my families lives. I cook for them on the weekends and holidays and they can't get enough, so I say thank you to Rob and everglades
Thank MR. Robert for the hat you gave me i love it and god bless.
My Dad is a retired welder. He welded in the ship yards in Jacksonville and then for a company outside Atlanta for 40 yrs. He was a welding wizard. Thanks for always being such a good guy Rob I love watching you with your kids.
It’s nice to see other welders. I’m a steelworker in the navy and I weld for a living
Awesome I’m joining the air force soon thanks for your service
I'm from Canada but thank you for your service anyway! Do you guys still do stick or is everything moved over to mig/tig?
Thanks for serving
Certified stick welder in plate and pipe never welded professionally (became an engineer) but what a great skill for self projects, repairs etc glad I learned the trade
*HOLY THIS BOAR* should be kept in a museum that thing is a Dinosaur 😳😳
Not going to lie I would have just dispatched it and made it dinner.
Seriously how good must he taste 🤤
@@dmac7406 yeah, I was disappointed to see him releasing him since it's an invasive species... seems like a selfish thing to do to me
Well that’s because you have a brain
@@91lilfrozone23 true hunter knows when not to kill.

AWESOME VIDEO ROB I TOTALLY THOUGHT YOU WERE GOING TO CATCH AND COOK BUT YOU DIDINT YOUR A MAN THAT TAKES CARE OF MOTHER NATURE JUS LIKE MOTHER NATURE TAKES CARE OF YOU GOD BLESS YOU SARAH AND THE GIRLS MUCH LOVE FROM WISCONSIN TO JUPITER
Those mosquitos were tripping me out. Felt like they were in front of my face 😂
Preservation at its finest and not just needless kill. Rob I always agree with how you catch clean and cook as you eat what you kill. But respect that you released the fellow as you weren't gonna eat him and didn't just kill him because he was a pest. Kudos 👏
The hog hunting videos never get old!
Facts
They never get old
In China, we use a rope with a high density wood stick to make the trap.
This is why I love Rob and his vids...this is how true outdoorsman really are, he is the poster child for what this sport really is.
my dad was a welder before he died and I used to love looking at the welding i just thought it was cool and looked really good

Hey Robert, thanks for all the video's. I've been watching you since day 1 on this adventure. Seeing you and Sarah grow from a tiny apartment to where you are right now has been a magical experience for many of us. Glad that you and all the girls are doing well.
Have fun. Make it a great day.
Enjoy your teaching on welding i am a fabricater and coded welding and i have had arc eyes and feels like sand in your eyes but love your videos thank you
I’ve never done anything this channel post, but every video brings me joy. If only the world was full of kind hearted people like you man. God bless!
Me either, but I sooooooo want to. The fishing would be a snap. I love freshwater so I’m certain I’d love saltwater. Hunting might be more difficult for me, but I’d like to at least try it once. Who knows? I might just love it!!!
The fastest clic on a notification EVER😂. We love you Rob❤
I just wish there was more people in the world like you would that actually cared
I cannot cannot believe it that you left it.....you did not rip it apart.....HUGE RESPECT
i was sad he didn't cook it, but he told that back story and it all made sense. mad respect for Rob!
@@FishinWithDrey mad respect for eby
Do y think rob bar the hog
I got a feeling he let this one go because of how big, and old it is. The meat wouldn't be that good because of it's age. It can't breed, so he might as well just let it live out the rest of it's days on the ranch.
a pressure cooker can solve this problem.
@@briandeng8543 😂 amen
Because of its' age it can't breed??? It wasn't castrated or dead. And with pigs, bigger is better if a boar, so this boar, big, entire, isn't likely religiously chaste.
@@johnmead8437 Toward the end, Robert said that the hog had been caught and "cut" and turned loose. Where I come from, "cut" means castrated.
@@donf3739 Got it. It is a bit ambiguous, & couldn't tell by the video (it might be edited). Could be why he's walking like a couple of butt hairs are fused rather than teaching spectators to climb trees etc
“Lots of people say they have a massive hog but you never know until you see it”. Best line I’ve heard in a while Lol

@@deermeatfordinner - Great job as well. You made an extremely difficult and dangerous situation look much easier than it was!

Why not just put a cap in its’ head while it’s trapped instead of torturing yourself like that my man, lol.
Because he releases it at the end to live on his ranch.
My thought was, if you gonna eat it, shoot it. If your going to release it use a tranq. Gun. Would have been less traumatic for both man and beast.
Dude im continuously impressed by your channel. You are the perfect embodiment of a hunter. You show how to do it right your also a teacher and student, a community member, an ecologist, an environmentalist, inclusive and friendly. 👍 you trump all the negative stereotypes.
Dmfd-don’t look at the welds
Also dmfd-immediately points camera at the weld
Your phone screen only goes up to a certain brightness. You cant get ark eye from watching welding through a vid
Working in the hardhat diving industry, welding is everything. Nice to see Rob still learning new tricks.
A real man is a man who uses his brain and hands, thanks Rob for the vids.

Pro tip from a Georgia Boy, Weld some skids on the bottom of the trap and you can drag it from one location to another. Great Video.

Wow that was a big boy. You're always spreading the love Robert. It's one of the biggest things that drew me to you and your channel.
Everyone should learn the basics in welding.I took a couple classes at community College and it was alot of fun and added another tool in the box.
Just whwn i think its a catch clean in cook you always do the right thing and let one go. Speechless my bro God Bless

Fabulous video and glad you let it go to find him another day for dinner. We do the same thing on our ranch and never suffer from a lack of good shooter hogs. Hog management is the key to good hunting. If in CA, look me up and we will hunt.
My son loves you videos. So do
I He is graduating next year and is joining the coast guard so that he is close to the ocean for fishing. Going to take him to south Florida next year for a present and would love to meet you.

Rob, you inspire me to do more, of what I think is impossible, everyday! 👍💪🙏
I would love to go on an Adventure with this Guy. So sad im not from the USA. I have watched All your videos and you're such a great guy
My grandpa was a aircraft and missile welder in Vietnam. He taught me to weld when I was 12, I love it now I'm 15 almost 16. Ive made all kinds of stuff since then, I've done fences, gates, truck beds, and other stuff. I think it would be a good idea if you at least learned to stick weld. Actually I'm doing a flat bed for a buddy of mine pretty soon. The bed was rusted and I said I'd do it for him. So that'll be a bunch of fun. Anyways God Bless yall stay safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 TGBTG
Thats not for the average guy. Went at it like a beast. That boar can hurt you bad. Made it look easy. Great video
I 100% agree with you about your statement on every man should know how to weld.
Oh my goodness that boar was huge and mean! You’re brave Rob

Just subscribed to your channel... love it! 5th generation Florida Man, grew up fishing and hunting on the Alafia River, Gibtown, Florida... love to get you out with some of my boys, up here in Ruskin... our biggest hog last year was 434lb, caught in a housing development on Tampa Bay, real talk! 7" cutters... we're kindred spirits...
After following you for around 8 years and watching every single video of your channel. I have found that you're a good human.
Lots of Love & respect for you and family from #Bangladesh.
Definitely getting in touch with hunters when I move to Florida
I thank God for using you to make my mood really good❤🌈
Very cool example to set for those people out there who think ALL hunters ares bloodthirsty monsters. Most simply are trying to feed their families in an ethical and conservation-minded way. This was a perfect example of moving a problem boar without killing it simply for the sake of killing it. I’m sure it will someday end up on the table, but you can be certain it’s not for a simple trophy. It’s for FOOD. Thank you for teaching/showing that example. Love from Susan in Louisiana.
