@@tomallen5837 The warm-up band was Flo and Eddy, from the turtles. They did a real campy show and the crowd was rough on them. When Tuna came out, Jorma chastised the crowd for the rudeness, and told us Flo and Eddy are legends. Lol😅

I saw them as a 3 piece band at Hofstra University when I was 17 or 18 years old, Jack n Jorma came on stage and announced their drummer Bob Steller was stuck in traffic, and the played 3 songs, greatest thrill of my life, then drummer arrived middle of song 3, gave a drum roll n started right in, Jack n Jorma could play stand up, they were so tight they didn't even need a drummer, I loved both Sammy, and Bob on drums, must have seen them live some 18 times, 1975 were the best memories, they gave a 5 and a half he concert Thanksgiving day, Academy of music

Wonder what all those knobs on Jack’s bass do. It looks like an Alembic, so they might control the air conditioner or something.

Muchas gracias, me pase mi Luna de Miel (en 1973) escuchando esta nueva versión de Hot Tuna. Varios años más tarde lo conocí en el Lone Star Café de NYC. Y lo volví a escuchar a Jorma en 2009. Abrazo, Tata.

To my ear, the musical intro was borrowed from Arlo Guthrie's Alicia's Restaurant Massacree (released in 1967). My ear isn't the most highly tuned piece of equipment, but I wondered if anyone else felt the urge to sing the Massacree lyrics before Jorma kicked in?

This song was written by Blind Boy Fuller before Arlo was even born. The chord structure is fairly common in Folk Blues.

It's a great song, but yeah, I actually thought that's what they were playing at first.
