I am in Australia, and dealt in ephemera for years. When I came across old filing cabinets I would always look under the bottom drawer to see what old paper work had fallen over the backs of drawers over the years - found a few good pieces of ephemera doing that. When I found some bundles of paper notes, I realised that people can also use that space as a hidey hole (and that filing cabinet had just been through a public auction). This was about 25 years ago, our notes had changed to plastic but the paper notes had crossover changes from about the mid 1970's (Commonwealth of Australia changed to Australia), and there was about $1200 face value. Except for the cheapest and nastiest of our filing cabinets, they have metal enclosing the base, making it so that stuff doesn't fall out. If yours do too, on the off chance, it is worth pulling the bottom drawer completely forward and shining a torch in over the back. The drawers with the high sides don't tend to have anything fall down the back - the lower side ones can, and it can be very random.
For a $125.00 unit this wasn’t to bad. You made your money back +plus. Tools, silver Morgan’s, a few electrical things. By the way people will buy perfume if they like it. I have seen resellers who sold half bottles of perfume. They look them up if a new one costs $50.00 they sell it for $25.00. Have a wonderful week ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💜
The Canadian bills are older take the time to look at them. Last 2$ bills have been printed in 1986 and been took of circulation in 1996. The 5$ appears to paper too and Canadian money is on polymer now.

Hi that storage locker looked like they were living in it. all the food and the bookshelf was a divider the back looked lke bedroom/living room with table and tv. the lamp was plugged in and perhaps tv plugged in to watch movies?? the cot could have been bed with foam pieces on top. I would definitely bring bins when cleaning out a storage unit, a couple or more each specifically for booth items, eBay, whatnot, keep decide later, and maybe even donate. As you pull things out, when it is obvious what you are going to do with it, put it in the appropriate bin. That way you aren't handling the obvious items over and over which wastes time. While it wouldn't have helped much for this unit it would for others with better items.

Could have made a good 30 bucks per dog pen, give em a good power washin, post them up on craig's list. Someone will totally buy up used animal crates. Those things are expensive brand new. Shelters, sanctuaries for animals... so many repurposing potential in this unit. Prayers to the soul that was living in it.

My grandma had a storage unit and I think the people next to it were living in it, basically they were there everytime that we went there for a period of 4-5 days and it didn't matter what time of day it was. The lady was sleeping in her car and the man would just pretend to be doing something in his unit like pretending to put something in the locker but they had it set up to be living in it basically with a desk with a Chair to sit in front of it and a recliner and some other stuff
Hey, I'm a seamstress. The best? way to sell the sewing machine is to put it in the booth where it can be plugged in. Remove the needle by unscrewing the thingy [yes that's a tech term]. The needle comes out straight down. That way it can be tested without stupidity figuring in, it can test w/o needle, no prob. Idn what you pd, but look up comps n price it, depends.
You can still get good money on some used perfume, you just can't say it's used, on E-bay. The "rack" might be a toddler bed, sans mattress. I sure didn't expect silver coins. Good thing you didn't give up on it.
Some thread manufacturers buy old clothes then shred them almost to the fibre and blend them with new fibres. It's cheaper than making complete new fibres. They sell them as blended fibres to cloth manufacturers. I have a few t shirts and shorts made from re manufacturer cloth. I think they buy by the hundred weight
I am installing a new ceiling fan in my house and one of the wires was cut I had to repair it and then I was able to mount it and install the fan/light. And then I went outside and lit off a bunch of 1/4 sticks of dynamite in my back yard with my kids. Then I had to get my recyclables put out on the curb for pickup. When I was walking back up my neighbor told me she was having a garage sale in 3 months.
I normally get these type of units where it's obvious the family took what they wanted before losing it . They always leave something good behind, but with a lot of trash 😅
