I really like the premise of a Gundam conflict like this. One that's more akin to the Cold War with two superpowers fighting proxy wars using smaller states that are vying for independence. The CE does technically allow for more of that with its piecemeal version of the Federation so it's a good direction for side-stories. It's just, SEED in general is waaaay too focused on the superhero-esque aces concept. Such that its worldbuilding and the more grounded elements of the conflicts presented are eclipsed by the super-pilots and their mech du jour.

That is kind of what I love about the EA from a story perspective. They aren't a federation. They are separate nations working together, but those nations each have their own agenda! This is where there Astray stories like the USSA conflict really make CE shine!

Actually, Gai's strategy is sound since there is a saying that says - "Kill a single enemy and you will only lose one enemy, but if you wound an enemy, you would lose two" since the first one has to be taken out of the battle to be treated.

I love the green frame I just feel it got shafted When it came to all the other astray models getting upgrades Throughout the series Oh I have a really cool rifle that also works as an axe And a beam double bladed polearm And which is really sad when you think about it Blue frame red frame gold frame Mirage frame Got upgrades like it was candy on Halloween Green frame is the kid that got one present on his birthday And nothing for any other holiday And didn't get to go out for Halloween And none of his relatives got him a basket for Easter Didn't even give him a chocolate egg The size of a marble, At least it got something for the build fighters universe But only a short manga though.
And the hyperion units They don't get enough love from the fanbase It was a first generation unit During ce seventy one That had a beam shield generator The only gundam to come with a beam sub-machine-gun Out of everyone from seed Because the only other unit throughout the franchise that comes to mind That had one of those Is the EW And Upgraded TV version Of the sandrock From wing

Thanks for the detailed response. Before diving into the Astray-verse again for this first time since it came out, I am not going to lie, I kind of forgot about the Green Frame myself... haha. I hate it when something I loves is barely liked by the rest of the community. I feel your pain!
