In an episode of 'Would I Lie To You' Katherine Parkinson revealed that in an exam at school, one of the questions asked: 'give an example of a mammal'. She wrote 'womble'...She and Eddie should get a room.
to be fair, we do have a lot of shows based on real animals, and animals using rubbish for there nest is a thing, so if someone told me that wombles where real, I wouldn't of questioned it back when I was younger
Heh, that's the first video in my recommendations.
I fell for it too at one point. I once went to Wimbledon Common to look for Wombles when I was about 6 and couldn't stop crying when I couldn't find any after walking for an hour
Very good at hiding Wombles are I’m not surprised that you didn’t find one. You should’ve brought some chocolate hobnobs as it’s their favourite food 🏹🍪🦔🦔🦔
Oh good, it about time. Nature developed natural predators for Wombles . Too common are they.
Those chocolate Hobnobs they were drying out over the campfire were the same ones they were fighting over earlier in the episode.
That's the joke
In a class of their own.
Unsurpassable 🤣
Foxy Stoat seeks Pig !
This series has sculpted my life. R.I.P Rik.
Fabulous, very funny series, Rick & Adrian were really a classic double act, they will always be remembered for the Bottom series, live shows and I think there was a movie. One of the things that really made me laugh so much.
And Young Ones, obviously. Movie best forgotten.
Squatting Neville
Lucky to have seen them on stage 2 times - amazing, just amazing
I saw them once and they were fab.
I saw the live show once too. Just brilliant.
I'm not british. The first time I watched this episode I was so confused. I had no idea what a womble was
What is it?
@@davemustaki134 well for starters, they are not a type of Pokémon (but I think you would get more meat of a Pokémon then a Womble), and seconds of all, Wombles are the name of a small furry creatures that go around collecting rubbish people left behind and they live near a famous place in England where they play tennis.
@@twilightjester5672 your not pulling my leg are ya?
@@davemustaki134 nope.
@@davemustaki134absolutely not .
They are the reason no rubbish on Wimbledon common
FACT this episode was made in 1992 but only shown in 1995 because someone was murdered at Wimbledon common just as it was due to be shown!
What did the Wimbledon incident have to do with this episode?
@@davemustaki134 They are in Wimbledon common.
@@numbnuts375 right I didn't know
@@davemustaki134 PC sensibilities, it might have upset somebody.
@@joefish6091 yes I was young kid in Australia at that time and actually never heard of the incident until I saw this comment
That is unbelievable best generations in my life
Give me this this than all the rubbish on tv nowandays
Hey! It's the Baron "Teaching nuns home economics!"
And Lord Flashheart
They were so funny deep throat lol
Hilarious!
chocolate hobnobs lol
I know, cos I’ve seen it , that badgers are actually able to skin hedgehogs, which is why, in a previous garden we had , with a large family of badgers , there were No hedgehogs .
So you never have had the joy of hearing hedgehog s3x, lots of loud grunting, very funny.
0:53 WELL, WHATS THAT THEN?!
AGHH, Eddie that is a hedgehog
0:56 🤣🤣🤣
Great
Such find 😂😂😂❤❤❤
I like how they can't even catch a simple Hedgehog.
They don't make any like them any more...
Example of today's BBC non comedy Young Offenders at 9:30PM on Fridays.
I wonder what the pigmes do
They wonder round saying crikey isn't everything big
😂
R.I.P. Bernard Cribbins
Who's going to break it to Rik and Eddie that there are no hedgehogs in America?
Didn't know they were in America
@@CarlySmith001They're not. It's the line about "red Indians".
@@Vesnicie Yeah
This episode was held back for a couple of years because of the 1992 murder of Rachel Nickell which happened on the real life Wimbledon Common.
My favourite episode. LOL at 0:55 1:28 1:39 2:24 and 3:44. 😆 🦔
Hocketypunctus
liz gril love you
The Wombles have gotten really remiss on rubbish collection.
Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
zak baby boy little
AND WHY THEY OOMBLE
How do Native Americans hunt hedgehogs when hedgehogs aren’t native to America?🏹 🍪🦔
some of the stuff in this would not fly today, and I don't think it be the native Americans complaining
