This is something that is very much appreciated to see exist in the world of Halo. The giant community of modding that's existed since CE, and the Forge community, it almost feels bigger than any other gaming franchise. I know it may not be, but all in all, this is Legendary.
I spend most of my gaming time on Halo including fan-made films so I don't know much about other franchises but Imma say our community is the most passionate! Thank u modders; its all a gamers dream come true 🙏
They just need a catalog of every Good/Bag guy with every color and armour variant from every game that you can use in Forge to make whatever you want.
Just needs the classic alarm 🚨 sound and then its 100%
The only thing holding forge back for me is the lack of custom text.
You can't put a custom message on a player's screen or write it out with letters in the world. There are letters, but not the whole alphabet. I spent days making a custom game mode called "Fight Night" where 2 players would be chosen at random for a 1v1 and all other players would have time to bet on who they thought would win the upcoming fight.
I made 80% of the logic and started what I thought would be the simple bit, explaining to the player, how to play. Turns out I couldn't. So I knew the game would never take off. It was too complicated to explain.
I know that if you add custom text trolls are going to write awful stuff, but come on 343, Minecraft lets you write custom text. Without custom text we can't explain complicated games, or provide context to unique story missions.

Im gonna lose my mind if someone made my favourite mission "Halo" from CE.
Okay, I knew that I was watching a forge campaign video from the get-go, but then I just got into the gameplay and for a second when I saw one of you in your custom armor, my brain went "wait is that a mod, how are they using their multiplayer armor, wait no, this is forge". Dude this actually tricked my brain, it's so convincing. The only unfortunate thing is that the music is edited in, I feel like that's probably the next big item that needs to be addressed for forge to really sell the immersion. Great vid highlighting this creation.
I agree they need to allow forgers to add music weather from halo infinite or even previous titles. That would totally make the forge maps so immersive

YO, as one of my fav missions, I wasn't even half way through the vid and I had to go play it. SO GOOD! I feel there needs to be some sort of compensation sharing deal with forge map makers so we get more awesome stuff like this.
Imagine spending credits on remake and expansion campaigns rather than cat ears! That I would be willing to spend on.
Literally all they need is forgeable campaign music!!!

And I decided to recreate the First Mission of Halo Reach, not realizing:
•How big it is
•It has a vehicle area
• Most of it is a walking simulator
Now I have to Build the mission in 3 parts. 😔😩
those areas were extended to suit Sprinting but its definitely too much in 2010 halo Reach;
1 day u could literally play the ENTIRE series up to atleast 4 without cutscenes in this game & that will be legendary lol
This is exactly what I wanted to do in forge, except have the ship slowly rotate around you so it feels like the ship is out of control, and the disorientation "adds" to its uniqueness. Can't wait to try this! 😮

@@Meowtro Blood has been really subdued ever since Halo 3, the only time blood excessively sprays after H3 is if you dump a few rounds into a dead body. Halo 1 is the only Halo game where blood can truly paint the walls.
343i needs to add these types of promising maps from players outside of the forge.
I was thinking whoever made that cairo station map probably made the whole mission and added on to it

Absolutely insane! Just finished the game! Halo 2 has to be the game I played the most campaign (almost 20 years) and this is so accurate is insane!!!!

This is amazing work, but I'm definitely more interested in the brand new custom missions, especially since MCC is available on Xbox and PC already the remakes aren't quite as interesting to me

wish infinite had this type of missions after the campaign instead of trading one narrative for another. Guess we'll have to wait in this 10 year plan (sorry 9-8 year plan) till they come out saying they'll continue the story through DLC

Only thing that cheeses me about forge maps is the lighting / textures / Reflections... as things always look pale / stale / flat.. let's say we compare it to halo 2 remastered side by side despite the infinite engine being used.. I wonder if 343 can " polish " the forge experience for graphical immersiveness so creators like this can finish the fight
depends on the forger too.
@RuthwikRao the software plays a massive role in convenience, just like factory in house made modding support and tools. The mod is only as good as the creator, the creators time spent and skill is dependent on the convenience of the tools.

Iron Skull is a skull that is forced onto the players when playing co-op campaign Legendary. when one player dies, both will be set back to the checkpoint, unlike the other games where you have to get to a safe distance for your partner to be respawned. This skull is also exclusive to Halo 2.

This is 343's opportunity to easily remake Halo 1, 2, and 3. But i bet they won't. The only things they'd need to program and add are the flood and a few other enemies.
Seems more so on the not happening list they hadn't even added they're own spin on halo in infinite the gear the weapons the vehicles I think the only thing they only really ever touched on was the pelican even with management I feel like it's way too early to get comfortable touching bungie's established lore

@hoomanperson236 No, look it up. This mission was supposedly only single player. I remember playing it with my brother, but if you put an original copy of halo 2 in an original Xbox it doesn't allow you to play coop on this mission. It's a mandela effect.

@hoomanperson236 yeah no your wrong. I have my original Xbox, just booted it up, and it doesn't let you. They aren't separate missions. They are the same missions with a cut scene after the armory bit. It is 1 missions and you can not play it coop
