I wasn't even born when most these songs came out, my mom would always listen to killing me softly and it always kept me coming back to ready or not. I'm now 17 years old and its 2015. I really prefer this type of HipHop over my generations music. MC's are dead thumbs up for fugees.
I never comment on videos, and I've seen many, many, many live performances, but this is simply mind-blowing. It's like telekinetic energy between the three of them. Long live the Fugees and long live hip-hop.
Hmmm. I like it but u do know it's full of covers and samples? Ready or not sampled from enya or someone else and oh la la la sampled from teena marie. Still a good album tho
this is definitely one of the best live performace ever recorded.got shiver during whole video for real.mad propz to ya all who was totaly destroyed with this one like me.aaaargh 7:00 nuff said
i have seen them live and they one of the best live acts i have ever seen. still cant believe the break-up is kinda forever ... the single and the reunion on dave chappelle show made me hope to see them live again!
No no no!!! It's Sylvia striplings u can't turn me away. Go and RUclips it and learn something(original). Junior mafia used HER beat to get the beat we all attribute(wrongly)to junior mafia.
@momusuboy I'm right there with you man. I can't say for sure, personally that's it's the best ever. Hell, I can't say that ANY album of any genre is the "best ever". My opinion always changes. But "The Score" is for sure one of the best rap/hip-hop/any genre records ever made. I totally agree with you. Lauren's first verse on "Ready or Not" is so tight.
@snubbs741 Does her voice need auto-tune? Don't forget that many singers have their voices auto-tuned these days because they're just not such good singers. They get selected by record companies because they have a pretty face, not because they can sing. Lauryn Hill, however, is an exceptionally good singer. And when do you ever see a hiphop group that has a live band with them these days? Hardly, if ever. Fugees for the win.
That's the problem people don't know the real root. Many many many hip hop artists sample other artists from all sorts of genres of music. The gay comment tho... come on(rolls eyes)
@77musica No, we think we have made it and no coincidence as our percieved success as a people goes up our quality of music and ingenious talents have taken a serious nose dive.
@snubbs741 Perhaps, although I also think that many record companies would jump at the opportunity of being the one releasing a new Fugees album, and give them complete artistic and creative freedom. But even then, we have to remember that The Score was made in the 90's, when there was a totally different artistic atmosphere compared to the present. A new Fugees album wouldn't have that 90's vibe to it, which made it so good (actually, I think The Score is the best hiphop album that I know). :)
Always come back to this performance. Think it's one of the best rap performances ever, especially for a rap group. Their chemistry is insane
These three have a psychic connection. CRAZY CHEMISTRY!!
...back when Hip-Hop still had soulful artists and a more diverse mixture of influences... I miss it...
Lauryn Hill had more energy than 98% of todays big names in hip hop.

I recorded this on VHS back in 96, wore the tape out! Dance around the border like I'm Cassius Clay....... MC's are dead🙏
I never comment on videos, and I've seen many, many, many live performances, but this is simply mind-blowing. It's like telekinetic energy between the three of them. Long live the Fugees and long live hip-hop.
One of the best tunes of 1996.
So amazing. Their chemistry was just....wow
I have also never commented, but this defiantly deserves it. Fugees, One Love.

with Wyclef and Lauryn in one group you had mad talent on the mic like nothing else. Murdering all the MCs out there.
Lauryn is a goddess.
How is this performance so great without ANY audience participation?! Truly legendary

All who think that @ 7:07 is Junior Mafia's Get Money, you're gays. It's You Can't Turn Me Away by Sylvia Striplin.
That's the problem people don't know the real root. Many many many hip hop artists sample other artists from all sorts of genres of music.

Damn this was great. L-Boogie is doing a bit in CT for tax evasion.....
Silly woman. Talented but silly. Pay the tax and done.
GRAND WA ZOO - check them!
@snubbs741 I'm familiar with those artists, but don't know those albums very well. I'll go and check 'em out sometime. :)
@77musica No, we think we have made it and no coincidence as our percieved success as a people goes up our quality of music and ingenious talents have taken a serious nose dive.
@snubbs741 What's your favorite then? :)
@snubbs741 Perhaps, although I also think that many record companies would jump at the opportunity of being the one releasing a new Fugees album, and give them complete artistic and creative freedom. They dissin Pac in this song
+The Dreamer Kid tupac was in one of their videos
Anton Brockenbrough Tupac is not in any of The Fugees videos but he did do a cameo for one of Lauryn Hill's music videos right before he died.
What song?
JDeezy 1997 Sweetest Thing
360p it''s a high quality for you ??? ok not for me.....
From what song is that beat at 7:07?
7:06 song?
Folks, what that song in between FuGeeLa? Is it a track from Junior Mafia?
Yes but junior mafia sampled it from a next track called u can't turn me away by Sylvia stripling
