Hey Kimmi...I thought I would jump on to inform the masses that #1 incident happened during my second Apostille transaction. The notary did not notarize the document correctly. I caught it right away. The other notary had to notarize a doctor's signature and there was no notarial wording. Long story short, I did a copy certification and I notarized the copy, Secretary of state approved it and the crisis was diverted. Thank you for your tips and recommendations they have been priceless.

Is it not good practice to let a potential client know upfront that you are not responsible for any clerical errors ( another notary mistake), lost packages etc. That you will not be responsible for any rejected documents. And if the documents is rejected, the client will be responsible to pay additional fees. I do agree that if the person facilitating the apostle makes a mistake, the facilitator should pay for corrections. But what if you are letting your client know upfront and you input this information in the format of a waiver as apart of your service agreement. Do you feel its not good practice or its up to each individual how to run their apostle service.
