This is the most fun drum beat to play in my opinion. Good stuff keeping the feet going although the song. It’s hard to keep your feet moving in the same Rhythm for that long.
Well i ain't no drummer but I've always been a fan of double bass and Motörhead ofc. Buddy, you nailed this. I admire the stamina in your feet, the rhythm that keeps on pushing while you seem slightly tired in the end. But still, really great piece. Thanks for this.
I played the double bass version of this on the video game GH World Tour to see how it is, and gosh damn the double kick in this one is humbling. I'd think it'd be one of the easier double bass songs available, but trying to keep that same pattern will require some solid stamina. Nice work!
@@drummersquirrel22 Nevermind, it was in Guitar Hero World Tour. I play on this game called Clone Hero, and can download all drums songs/DLC from various guitar hero/rock band games. Managed to hook up double pedals and an Alesis Nitro kit to play the songs, so about as realistic as it can get.
Very nicely done, currently learning this at the minute, any tips for keeping the bass drums going for the full durations? Im quite new to double bass so trying to learn how to manage it for the length of the song. Cheers
Glad you like it mate. In response to your question, The first thing you want to do is make sure you are able to play the groove to a high standard at a slower tempo where the feet and hands line up perfectly with one another. You also want to make sure you are nice and relaxed both physically and mentally. If you are finding yourself having to seriously concentrate to play the groove, then that may drain you even quicker as we tend to tense up unconsciously when we are really trying not make a mistake. Especially when playing at speed. Once you’ve got the groove nailed at that slower tempo to the point where you are nice and relaxed playing it, then speed it up until you get to the main tempo of the track which is about 130bpm or 260bpm depending on how you want to count it. Now all you need to worry about is your stamina. I always think of stamina as basically just having good cardio on the drum set, The more you push yourself the better you will get. (having good technique can seriously save you a lot of energy though) This song is about five minutes long with a couple of very short breaks in between. Stick a timer on and see how long you can play the groove at full speed and volume for before you burn out. Make a note of how long you managed, and then try and beat that time by five seconds when you play again. Try practising with 1kg leg weights as well, I have done for years and they really help. Stamina takes a long time to build up so be patient with yourself and you will get good results 😊
This is really impressive. I don't know anything about drums, so I have a question: on a scale of difficulty, is this song one of the hardest to play? Or is it just standard for an experimented drummer? Thanks in advance for your answer.
Trying not to sound arrogant here 😅 but yes, to an experienced player like myself this song is incredibly easy as it’s quite repetitive and not very complicated at all. I’d say the most difficult part of it is probably keeping the kick drum going for the whole track and making sure the time keeping remains on point without sacrificing any power or energy for the track🤘
@@drummersquirrel22 Thanks for taking the time to answer. Just one last question: what is, to you, the most difficult Motörhead song to play for a drummer? I'm really curious to know!
@@ameyteach wow that is a tough question! Hmmmmmm I’m gonna go listen to all my Motörhead albums and get back to you 😅 If I had to choose right now though, I’d probably say ‘sacrifice’ just because some of the timing in that is weird AF and throws me off a little 🥁
That constant pounding of the double bass is what really hits you, plus the two false endings. You make it look too easy!

Ive been listening to Red Hot by Motley Crue for too long, after this drum intro, I can hear Vince’s “Well Alright!” 😂

How long it took you to stop the legs? 😁😁 Great performance! 👍🤘
Lots of practice and exercise 😅 cycling definitely helps!

Does anyone know a video teaching how to play this pattern?
