@allgoesround The 4090 isn't always 45% faster than a RTX4080 Super, but let's say it is... so my 4080 Super 35fps dips from my 40FPS capture here, the 4090 would only get you to the 50FPS mark. Youd need another 20% GPU horsepower to drive 60+ in these demanding scenarios, so the 5090 should do it while the 4090 falls just short. Its an extreme scenario but 5K DLSS Quality, (in this video) with Unreal Engine 5's Nanite system makes Hellblade 2 one of the most demanding games so far, apart from Path traced gaming like Cyberpunk 2077 maxed out. Where the 4090 might struggle and get just shy of 60fps, the 5090 should cover it in Hellblade 2. Any other game at 5K+DLSS seems quite fine on the 4090, just the extreme example of Hellblade would overcome it. This is why I like testing 5K/DLSS just to see where these higher end GPUs land and do the math for upcoming releases. 4090 >4080 Super can be 30-45% depending how heavily you lean into RT and extreme demands. Plz note that many other games run VERY well on the 4090 at 4K/5K and especially with DLSS Quality. If they end up saying the 5090 is 25% faster than 4090, then 50fps becomes 60fps+
yeah the extra frames and some motion blur keep it relatively "slow smooth" and you can set one or two graphical settings down a step for a boost of 5-10FPS or so, basically capping 40Hz always. Visually pleasing game.

Hi, PC newbie here. If all I want is a stable (>95%) 60fps at 5k, would 4090 be enough or should I wait for 5080/90?

I reckon 30 fps in this game is fine. It's very slow paced. You are almost able to maintain 40 fps though, which is good for the fighting scenes.
