Love discussions like this one. That was so interesting.
I bought two of the first 20 H44's.... seriously good ribbon mics that held their own next to my AEA N8 and Stager Stereo SR-2N... one of the best buys in ribbon mics today IMHO. Buy with confidence and get recording.
This is such good information! So cool!
Very Cool guys
I agree very cool.
I gotta try these! I have family in Ann Arbor great area. Pure Michigan :)
I'm in Ypsilanti and stumbled across Alder Audio last November, got excited and bought one. I love it. I use it all the time and had a great email exchange with Tyler. He's a great guy! Glad to see another Michigander here!
Really enjoyed this talk! Appreciated Tyler’s surprise/enthusiasm/awe at how you can have a hypothesis that theoretically should pan out a certain way, but then have testing show no difference/something else completely! 🤷♀️
It’s like the most fun but also frustrating part of R&D haha
Yes I have had buzz experience as well. You simply can't record in certain locations!
Really nice sounding mic !!! What micpreamp was used in the audio samples ??? Is this a long ribbon? and what is the thickness of it?
