To fix my front teeth in Australia would cost $12,000. I did some research and in Bulgaria the whole trip including the return flight, accommodation, spending money and the dental works out to about $7,000 ($2,000) for the dental.
Justin thank you for the videos my friend, I grew up in Varna and now I'm living in Rotterdam and watching my home town through your videos is amazing, I recognise everything and can show it to my new friends here, it's so fun, thank you for the great content!
Thank you Dimitar. I always love getting feedback from my viewers and local feedback is wonderful to me. If a local person appreciates my videos, then I can gage it as successful 👍👌
Justin, we truly enjoy watching your videos. They are so down to earth and very helpful! Also, very impressed with your knowledge of Russian:) Thank you for sharing and keep it up please!
Hi Vitaly. I keep it real and natural and it seems to be enjoyable to viewers. Comments like yours though make it all the more worth it and enjoyable. Thank you for the compliment on the Russian, and will keep making videos! New one just releasedI hope you enjoy👌👍
The situation whit the old grandmother who tried to give you the grape as a gift , because you didn't have a change , made me upset 😭 , because this generation of people they are so onesy and this couple of money they try to earn are for their surviveing!! And that you went to change that 50 levs ! You have that respect to the elderly people , I salute you mate , you a real person ! God bless you ...
I think you are the best survival expert. Just learn "give me" in bulgarian, and everywhere you go just say дай ми ! and presto you have a kilo of cherries for exampe
Thank you for the interesting video. At 12:38 minutes, when you asked the woman “Hello, how are you?” in English, she answered in Bulgarian: “Бива”, which means, roughly, “I’m ok” (it’s closer to the French “ça va”) and it’s neither her name nor “пиво”. “Бива” is a form of the verb “to be”. In Bulgarian the verb “to be” is: “съм” or “бивам”. Sometimes one might receive, to the same question (“How are you?”) the answer: “Става” which is an equivalent of “бива”, in this context, and both are at the same grade of the scale of optimism. The answer: “Благодаря, добре съм” or just: “Добре съм” is the equivalent of “O.K.” or “all correct”.
Do not believe all the complaints. Bulgarians like to complain. It's not that bad. There are many problems but it is not as hopeless as the man told you at the beginning of the video. I am a young man from Bulgaria who has a small salary and yet I do not think it is so bad.
Wherever you are going, learn one or two words.. Thank You! I learnt it in Lithuanian and Bulgarian! Places I will not go to once my treatment is done but that wording goes a long way in the appreciation dept.
Hi Barry, The thought has crossed my mind, but I need to educate myself a little more on how to do it. I am so busy with producing videos these days, that some things I simply dont have time for. But it is in the plan! The food was great and amazing value too.
I know what u mean about sour cream. In Singapore, fruits used to be affordable. There wasn't much variety, but they were affordable to buy anytime, the usual apples, oranges, papayas, watermelons, bananas. Then came more variety from international brands & a bit more variety, more foreign residents. Then it is now impossible to buy even apples because it is now too expensive & only rich people can afford it. So from fruits everyday to no fruits anymore. That's just 1 aspect of the living condition or quality of life.
A curious historical fact to share about the food, the so-called region of Thrace, this is today's Bulgaria, or its old name Odrysia in the past fed the Roman Empire, Ottoman Empire, The Macedonian Empire, Russia and many others. Because everything that grows here is delicious and high quality. Dobrudja is the granary of Europe.
@@tsetso99 I'm still a student, I'm 17 yo. Not everyone can get 2000 euros a month. In the other countries people get that amount of money for regular jobs without having to study much. That's what I'm talking about. And I don't need to study in school or college to make that amount of money, I can do that by myself at home and make a lot more than that.
@@iskrenstoyanov1 But in other countries taxes and rent are a lot higher, so you only get to spend a fraction of what you earn. Also, Russia, the country whose proxy is the political party on your profile pic, has a much lower standard of living than Bulgaria. ;)
@@tsetso99 That political party on my pfp is not russian, it's a bulgarian political party. Matter of fact I've met the leader of the party, he lives not so far away from where I live. And uh I know in other countries rent and stuff like that is a lot more expensive, but yet at the end they still have more money to spend on things.
@@iskrenstoyanov1 Yes, the party is Bulgarian, but they are a proxy for Russia, defending Russian interests in Bulgaria, as they've shown once again today. Also, if you where Kopeikin lives you probably know he bought the house with the subsidies his party received for the elections in 2017. 🥲

What I meant is that if you were in Uk you would never say to a waiter (especially if he was an English boy) bring me to glasses full stop. It would be rude not to say please or can... but because you are in Bulgaria you think it's fine. Anyway that's just my experience after living in NZ for 25 years.
@Artur Grabczewski so is it safe to say that rather than asking me why, you are accusing me of being a rude person??? I think when you travel as much as I do and communicate in many languages, you make it as simple as possible if communicating in a language that is not native to people and you sense they struggle with it. Also not all languages translate word for word, or is the syntax the same. Either way I try to be polite and respectful with everyone. Now try and comment something nice 😉
Love these videos Justin... Not a fan of Bulgaria from what I see, everything looks dirty and unkept... ..Weeds everywhere etc. but I do understand... People though seem very nice and cordial.... We have bad areas in the USA too however... ....
Hello mate, Unfortunately I cannot always agree with how some of these governments spend the money, but to me the people really make the experience, and I loved every moment in Bulgaria. Travel there if you get a chance. Thank you for watching and commenting 👌👍

Justin, it's great to see your emotions while exploring Bulgaria! Do come back soon and keep on with the vids.

There isn't Macedonian Empire, there is greek Empire!!! When you talk about history, it's good to know what you're talking about!!!
That dentists office is nicer than mine here in Atlanta lol. Next time I am overseas I need to try getting a checkup lol
Good plan... Considering the prices in th US, that would probably be a free trip.

Hi man is possible you give me the address for the dentist please
She was going to give you a change!
There was a decent graffitty on the wall on your way to the dentist which spells "вяра" - faith. Cheers from Varna!
If our salary is around 2000 euros like in the other european countries, the life here in Bulgaria would be pretty much perfect. Great video btw!
Well, if you've studied your salary could be well above 2000 euros. :)

In Sofia maybe, but in Varna the salary is low for majority of the people, and the "expensive" cars you mentioned, are again 15 to 20 years old.
Wrong attitude my friend, I would like to hear you order with the same arrogance at a pub in London! ;)
