    Made a slight blooper as I used the wrong text files for these two clips at the very start:
    Raphael's old taunt is actually 1.43 secs long
    Michelangelo's old taunt is actually 1.47 secs long.

    I am back with a new series of TMNT Shredder's Revenge videos.
    The second video is going to be covering a fair majority of the tweaks made to the existing mechanics. Ranging from buffs, nerfs and universal changes.
    Due to the lack of patch notes documents given out, there's a good chance there is a change that wasn't mentioned on this video. I tried my best to cover as much as I can but I think what I got is very significant.
    The video was done on PC to take advantage of swapping the maps to play the training level instead of the first main level.

      I'm so happy about Michaelangelo's buffs and a bit upset about Raphael's nerfs because they are my 2 favorite turtles in this game

      You can play story mode with any character in SR and always have been able to. The turtles aren't the only playable characters and never have been.

      @@zagariasbooysen7401 I'm aware of that genius my point is that there has never been a playable character in the game you couldn't play the story mode with so why wouldn't you be able to play the story mode with the new characters? That's like being amazed that you can actually use a new character in a match in a fighting game and not just training mode. It's basically the entire point of the content. It would be more surprising and/or out of the ordinary if you COULDN'T play them in story mode. THEN you could be amazed and it would make sense.

      Raph is my 2nd fave after Don, I was worried they would ruin him, but a taunt nerf in exchange for even better supers is totally acceptable for me.

    This is the great patch. Everyone is really good now, and the turtles are closer to each other in terms of strength. Supers have been sped up all around, so the duration has been reduced. Donnie and Casey's neutral super dont smother everyone else's now, and the combat is less laggy with all the super freezes.
    I am very happy with the changes.

    I love how they sped up the body slam, but I wish they would go back and give Donatello more effort. His side special, slide attack and dodge follow-up are all the exact same animation.

    I don't get why they make everyone basically the same character now with the time and damage output, I think it was what gave the game some choice, pick who you think is best, now looks like, pick anyone, there's no difference.

      I see your point, but now is more balanced, before this patch Casey and Donatello's ground supers were much more strong than Mike and Leo's ones, for example.

      @@carlosaurio3257 this ain't a pvp, do we really need balance? Why can't one be the fastest, strongest, etc? I don't see a point in this, does this make the game better?
      Maybe they wanted every character on par for the survival mode, so not every match is the same character multiple times, but in my opinion this was a step back, I feel we didn't needed a change like this, I love how it was, rapha being the fastest to charge, it was a unique character, with individuality, now, just pick a random, they all the same.

      The only big differences right now are the utility in jab combos and dash attacks (probably slides too).
      Leo's combo for example hits 6 times making him the best meter builder (16 hits regardless of power fills up a bar).
      Same with Raph's Dash attack hitting twice which is amazing with dead enemies getting hit from his attack such as a group of Mousera.
      The higher ranked survival mode enemies can have 15 HP which 2 of Splinter's Supers can deal if all hits connect giving him a slightly bigger niche that say "I do more dmg against bosses".
      *you are not wrong about the super buff, it's a double edged sword adjustment*

    A couple more things I noticed
    *Are heavy swing charge times equalized now too? April seems to take a little longer to confirm the fast charge after a flying attack and Donatello very obviously charges way faster.
    *Don in general seems to have a very obvious all around attack/recovery speed increase. His dash attack can be looped much more freely and easily.
    *Attack box size has been extended on the forward + attack first combo hit for Leo and Casey, which I felt immediately since those have always been a honey trap button on those characters for me.

    Karai stats make a little more sense now. It felt like she was faster and weaker than Usagi. That darn rabbit seems like poetry in motion if you can Crack the code and avoid hanging him out to dry with some of his moves at the wrong time. Devastating one moment and bodied the next.

    Well, there's a ton more than listed here such as i-frames durin start-up, distance and when active frames begin of f,f,3 slides and f,f,1 maneuvers, especially if they pop up or provide juggle for combo, as well as Y- and Z-frame hit boxes of player vs AI, especially with manhole tosses, foot whips and plunger shots. I mean, I can go on...but I thought you were gonna do that lol

      There were no patch notes on game mechanic changes. So figuring things out with limited resources was hard. Damage output and taunt speeds were the most notable changes despite not being mentioned in the patch notes when it was released.

    Dang I knew something felt different. I wish these were in the patch notes, the new content is awesome but rebalancing some of the weaker moves some characters had is even more exciting to me.

    The taunt was a coll thing,maybe they did that to balance the survival with longer taunt but is a bad thing in my opnion,the air thing was too powerfull but i think is too hard to undertand the hit box now

    I get it. They want all taunts of the vanilla warriors to synch up, with some slightly faster than others. So we can pick them more. But there is still a slight damage difference between some more than others and that’s also ok. But they should still let some characters like Ralph, he unique so people can specialize in that character, but overall this update is meant to help more than harm. Especially Raph players who dislike the Taunt nerf and another nerf that I forgot but not game changing to me. Cuz I play casually.

    Another huge change: You can't use taunts to stack up to 3 super bars anymore! You can only stack one level with taunts!

    standardized taunt, big nerf for few, buff for a couple.
    Buff Leo's bad supers (though a few others seem to have gotten buffs that still go over his)
    Mikey buff. the area of his super doesn't seem THAt big to me
    wow, Donny's charge one was weak.
    Oh wow. so if lots of those disc bots, do dive super. but otherwise AOE of it was nerfed.

    Full disclosure, I hate the taunt + super rotation. Casey isn't doing anything else and keeps dragging attacking enemies through my hitbox. I cant see the boss to dodge their attacks. Thanks for giving Mikey needed love!

      There is no need to adjust playstyle with her. I'm glad that they didn't change her. It wasn't until I started attacking survival with other characters that I realized something was different.

      As an April player, I'm super glad that she's left untouched (was honestly scared that they would nerf her when I heard that they patched the game). Her moveset is perfect as it is.
      Also, you gotta remember that both her Grounded and Flying Supers have a damage value of 12. Before the update, Leo and Mikey had grounded Supers of 8 and 9 respectively (now all 4 turtles have 12 like her there) and *all* of them had weaker flying supers (whereas now, Mikey and Raph tie with her while Leo and Donny are still weaker at 10).
      And keep in mind that April's supposed to have the lowest power rating of the cast (tell that to her DPS and ease of filling out her Ninja meter). So it makes sense that her damage values didn't get *buffed*.

    It still kind of sucks. I can't run and jump! If you try a running jump your character power slides. Lame. Also hitting exploding barrels doesn't cause the barrel next to the exploding barrel to explode. 😢 The game still needs lots of fixing 😢

    TLDW; every super but Splinter does 10 or 12 damage, taunts all take the same time, they basically just homogenized the cast more, despite them already playing excessively samey. A downgrade.

    I think it is the worst thing to change parameters so much in an offline game.
    Especially the fact that they've reduced the range of the dive attack, which is the most improbable thing I've ever seen.
    I really liked this game and it was one that I would continue to play regularly, but this might be an opportunity for me to stop.
    If the development staff is watching, I'd like to see them revert to one previous version.

      You can unlock more skins by grinding survival mode but that's about it.

    Ralph was opaf on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1 on the Arcade version version I could beat the game with one quarter using him.💙👍🏾😎

    The video image is such a bait. "everybody buffed but Raph nerfed" is really just for the taunt duration. Each turtle does more damage now! The flash freeze improvement is such a great quality of life update.

      As a speedrunner.
      Raphael's strategies were altered because of his slower taunt. His flying super while buffed is only useful to 1 shot Knucklehead Spider. That's why Raph got the nerf arrow.

      Fair, but at least the character isn't ruined unless asking a taunt addict. I wish his Super Slam AoE range wasn't nerfed, but this is supposed to be a team game, having one character clear the whole screen with one slam could be problematic. Also, huge hype for Mikey getting his dive kick fixed so he isn't bodied all the time. @@Greenalink

      @@danielpayne1597 Survival mode exists too and the dive super was speedy and technically the best air to ground attack with great damage output.
      It's a change that not everyone will agree with, I personally am not too upset but will miss some of the cool strats I used to pull off.

    unpopular opinion: this DLC sucks! all they added was the survival and 2 characters with 1 move set each, compared to what they did in Streets of Rage 4 DLC (all 5 main characters got alternate moves in addition to all the 13 retro characters and all 3 newly added characters all got new move sets too) TMNT DLC is agonizingly underwhelming and that is a fact sadly, as a huge fan of the game

      I think SoR4 spoiled us with the price tag. $8 US for just the two characters who play way differently than the original cast and the colors alone make it worth it. Not as much value as SoR4 of course.

    For a nonpvp game, balance is pointless. We would rather they spend resources to produce new game mechanics. Such as a new way to play a characters like in diablo2 where socerer can be play as a shape shifter. At the very least give us new skills set like sor4 is better than endless balancing.

      Sor4 had a lot of balance tweaks, especially the March 2023 update.
      TMNT balance adjustments were done mainly thanks to Survival mode. Longer taunts means that Mikey, Splinter and Raph can no longer get a free bar to fill up as reliably as before and players now have an incentive to use their other 2 Supers as in the past ,dive was used 95% of the time.

    Raph already has a shorter range too. its like weird to nerf him more

      His power was already making up for that. No one should have half the taunt speed
