Very helpful putting on your eyes thank you 🙏 I’ve been searching for more whites and white tones FOREVER!! This line is my favourite formula. I’ve also been checking Pat MaGrath, and Visart but I’m happy to get it in Natasha Denona formula ❤ I have the mini Xenon and it’s my favourite and I’ve used up almost all the pans of the light grey and white-ish cream color In that palette. I’m so very happy to see a full palette in this grey and white color story. I’ve been hoping for not just a full size Xenon but a full palette of white and light creams. Without any browns. I’ll settle happily for almost half a palette❤ I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea however it’s incredibly difficult to find such a white and light cream pallet ❤❤❤
This palette reminds me of the moment in Devil Wears Prada where the assistant holds up two identical turquoise belts and says “I don’t know, they both look so different.” 😂
This is a great video. It is so helpful to see the colors on the eyes. The colors look stunning on you. Very pretty. These colors look very different on different skin tones. Very interesting!❤
I love cool tone and a black Smokey eye is 💋. I haven’t gotten mine in yet but I’m a little concerned that this palette doesn’t have enough variation in the shades. Thank you so much for doing this. It’s my favorite kind of review video
My palette came in today, so excited! I haven't watched many videos for it, because there was no question I was going to get it eventually. (Never met another person whose favorite color was grey!) But what really got me just now was "different strokes for different folks". Cygnus is a constellation of a crane, and anthracite is an extremely high quality coal. Want an interesting rabbit hole, look up Centralia anthracite mines.
Need a matte pink and a shimmery pink to replace at least 2 white ones. I love pinks and greys. I think I will just stick with my mini one and pare it with a pink one
Thanks Samantha! What I would love to see in future videos like this is the similar colors swatched one after another, instead of going in the order of the palette row!
Glad to see you looking beautiful and upbeat. Thanks for the swatches and try ons. This palette is not for me, to dark and repetitive. Have a great evening. Loved the flapper outfit.❤🍂🍁🦋💋🤗
Skift and Snowbow are my favorite center lid shades! Nightsky is my fave upper lash line liner. Ebb is fun if you want more blue. I like the whitish shimmers or the white matte for inner corner. I love Cygnus for upper lashline liner, or on lid. I don’t love this palette by itself, but I am loving it with other palettes.
Using those shades that way, I’ve been using a couple shades from the my dream palette. Nurture as an all over lid and crease/transition color, first. Then, Aspiration as a a deepening shade (inner and outer lid/crease for a halo eye. Then I bring in xenon for the beautiful special touches! I could finish it off with any of the light bright shades from xenon in the inner corner for a highlight, but I keep reaching into the I Need a Nude palette, for the shade Whisper, for that job.
I feel like this palette is great and if you don’t like that the tones look that similar her palettes are customizable I plan on pairing it with the glam and retro glam palettes to make my own
You know, all the xenon palette gorgeous tutorials remind me that I have the urban decay smoky palette that I never use. And it has some neutrals in there, too... I'm so excited to pull that out again & get inspired by the looks! Love Samantha's fun sports bra video! I'm going to be singing in a band doing "flapper" music on Thursday, so going to practice for the event coming up!!!
15y old me would have bathed in this but are there even scene/emo kids anymore (that could magically afford this) 😅. I love ND blackest black but um ya only need one.
In the promo photos the more I saw it the more I wanted to pick it up but at the same time my next palette purchase I was planning on grabbing the new Huda Beauty Pretty Grunge palette, and still am leaning that way especially after seeing this video so thanks so much Samantha!
Thank you for doing the eye swatches, they really do help me decide if I want to pick it up or not. Your poor eyes I know how sensitive they are I hope it wasn’t too painful afterwards! This eyeshadow palette is an easy pass for me, too many of the same shades and too many white shades but it’s pretty! You dressed up as a flapper looks so gorgeous! All of the costumes you’ve posted have been so fun and so gorgeous! I saw you and your friend went as Vegas show girls and you two looked so BEAUTIFUL!!! Halloween 👻 has to be so much fun in Vegas!! Love ya girlie!
I’m curious-could you do a short with a big swatch of one of the darker matte, and then layer the different shimmers over top of it? Maybe they look a lot more different once they’re layered like that? 🤔 That said, this palette is an easy pass for me, gray makes me look dead, haha. Even the Retro palette ended up being too cool toned on me, I only used maybe half the shades, before I decided to give it to a friend. 😂
Grey eye shadows look so pretty with your eye color. Especially the first grey you did. Also the weird names are all related to snow and ice. I think maybe her inspiration was a snowy night.
Cygnus is such a fun shade! Did you read the article in harpers bazaar, the makeup used on Jenna Ortega for Wednesday Addams makeup look? You could use Cygnus in place of mac glitch in the matrix (smudge/line upper lashline) , and splosh (or different matte black) in place of mac carbon (lower lash line). And then a matte medium warm brown (lid) in place of mac script. She used mac script as an all over lid shade. I’ve been having fun doing that look just for fun for every day, lol.
I thought I was going to love this palette and swore I would buy this over her INAN... I'm now very happy with my change of heart. I use INAN all the time.. can't stop using it. This one I think I would not get much use out of. I was originally excited for the pink and the taupe shimmers to break up the black and white but I see now that they really don't help much. Also I really appreciate you doing the eye swatches. Treat your eyes really nice after this lol
I love white 🤍 eyeshadow 😍 Elf got me on white eyeshadow. They had a shimmery white shadow in a pot I loved it so much, but they discontinued it and I would like a replacement but to buy a whole $70 palette 🎨 for a shimmery white I don't think I'll be doing that lol 😆
I got it. I like it, but yes, I agree pinks are a little misleading in ND photos. I will be using it with other palettes. I am glad I used ulta points to get the palettes I picked up.
Your hair looks FAB here, Sam!! It’s so interesting to me watching everyone’s different takes on this palette. I don’t have many palettes nor shades like this in my collection so I bought it! Patty Alonso was saying some of the white/eggshell colored shades are good for blending darker colors out. Anyway, thanks for reviewing & hope you have a good week!! 😊🩶✨🖤
Idk man, I think this could've been so much MORE if the repetitive shades were replaced with chromatic greys like super desaturated blue, green, purple, and pinks that would still fit the greyscale theme while allowing some nuance in the shades and variety in looks you can make. When I first heard there was going to be a midi Xenon I thought, welp 15 shades of white, grey, and black is overkill. Saw the pics and was pleasantly surprised to see some color, but everyone I've seen review this has remarked on how the "colors" aren't like the pics. Feels like such a missed opportunity to take on some of that grungy, unique feel that indie brands have been producing for years and making it mainstream.
Yes! Blizzard is bluish grey! No one believes me that this palette has blue, lol. Yes, you called Ebb blue! Yes, it is blue! Lol…. So many people don’t see the blue. Yes! And Snowbow has blue tint to it too! Yes! Nightsky too! It looked blue on my arm when I swatches it, like a navy, just like you said. And also just like you said it does look darker on the eye, but if it’s a metallic black, it definitely has blue undertone to it. I’m so relieved you see it too, so many others don’t, I was starting to think I was crazy, lol.
You look stunning! Love the hair and all the shadows look so pretty on you. I am trying to decide between this palette and the new Huda palette coming out in a couple days. I'm going through bank fraud right now and waiting for my new stuff to come in the mail. So I am REALLY hoping I get them before the end of the sephora sale lol
I see this palette as a sad waste with all of them in the same tones of black and whites. They could've added at least 2 other with pops of color and would've made a better palette. #SamSquad💞 Loads of Love❣
I LOVE YOUR HAIR THIS WAY !! that side part. Yes #SamaSquad. I actually love this color story. Yes some are alike. But that’s what it is. People are complaining how they look same on eye. Etc. well, you can see that before you buy it she makes them for ALL skin tones. So they pop different on all !! Plus your base PRIMER will change the color ON EACH ONE DIFFERENT she’s an artist m so her box is bigger than most like DANESSA MYRICK. And the blue shade pulls gray next to gray. Pulls blue nextt to blue. And on and on
Not meaning to sound repetitive (sorry!), but every look you did with the Yucca palette was uniquely beautiful!! This new palette is so visually boring that it makes me feel disappointed. BUT - I so appreciate your swatches and final opinion, because it confirms my thoughts. Luv ya.
I ordered this palette right away! Before I got it, videos were going up, I watched them all. But, I was kind of feeling regret, afraid I wouldn’t like this palette at all. But, I started using it with the My Dream palette and I can say now, I absolutely love this palette!!!! Some people look good with light grey matte crease, the light grey doesn’t look good on me. So, I use Nurture (medium neutral brown) from my dream as the transition color, aspiration (dark brown with purple undertone?) also from my dream in outer inner lid/crease(halo). Then I use Nightsky to smudge/line upper lashline. Then I dab either skift or Snowbow on center lid and bring it up into crease. Oh my gosh I love it so so so much! One day I wanted little more blue tint to the look so I took Ebb and dabbed on inner/outer corner, just a little bit. Now this xenon palette is my new fave! Of course I use it with some browns, but oh my gosh do I love it!!!! Aspiration with the purple undertone looks so pretty with the blue undertones in xenon! Oh and even though xenon does have inner corner highlight options, I still used Whisper from I Need A Nude.
I guess my view of this palette varies from the majority. I don't view this palette as something I would reach for to create day-to-day looks or as a singular travel choice like a Biba. I mean sure you can create some stunning looks with a wash of just a singular shade or combination of two shades. As a collector or curator of ND palettes, Xenon has tremendous value and I don't regret my purchase. AND that Greu shade on your eye Sam....DAYUUM 😍
I have a probably unpopular opinion... I bought this after being SO excited once seeing it online and was super bummed with it in person. I thought the "pink-ish" shade was nothing like the pic online. The shades like you noticed in the video are repetitive, and I even love whites. I really didn't need this palette, I shouldve passed.
I had my first colonoscopy yesterday and when I woke up the first words the doctor said, “Screening saves lives.” He then told me that a 1 mm polyp is considered large and requires a specialist to remove it. I have a 3 mm polyp. So I’ll soon be having my second colonoscopy to remove it so that it doesn’t turn into COLON CANCER!!! Loving your hair here! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I like all the blue greys but my blowing smoke does fine
Your hair looks beautiful as it’s growing out. You look very healthy too! ❤
Was just thinking hair looks great!
Your hair looks AMAZING!!!!!!!
thank you!
OH MY GOSH!!!! I have never heard anyone else say that grey is their fav color!!! It’s been mine for years and years and people always be like WHAT?!
0:31 GIRL!! Your hair is so beautiful! You are always beautiful, but today is next level!
This is a great video. It is so helpful to see the colors on the eyes. The colors look stunning on you. Very pretty. These colors look very different on different skin tones. Very interesting!❤
Even though this palette isn't for me, I appreciate you doing eye and arm swatches of it. It was really cool to see all the different shades.
Sam your hair looks amazing!! I’m praying for your heart to heal….I know your hurting….sending you love and joy!!
Oh my goodness, Sam!! Your hair!!! GORGEOUS!
Oh thank you!
Prayers for Samantha
❤️
I love cool tone and a black Smokey eye is 💋. I haven’t gotten mine in yet but I’m a little concerned that this palette doesn’t have enough variation in the shades. Thank you so much for doing this. It’s my favorite kind of review video
Omg! You’re is looking fab!❤
Girl I love love your hair .. it looks like it’s growing fast and so healthy ❤❤
thank you!
Thank you for the great review! This is my kind of palette. So happy! Your hair looks lovely!
Your hair is beautiful! You look stunning! 😍
Wow, I really appreciate all the eye swatches, not everyone does this. Thanks.
thanks!
Love the effort you went to, to eye swatch ❤
Love this pallette ❤❤❤

Thanks for the eye swatches! You’re brave searching them all on the eyes!

I love Cygnus for upper lashline liner, or on lid. I don’t love this palette by itself, but I am loving it with other palettes.
I seriously love this comment. I love that this palette is a win for you. I hope you continue to use and love it. Thank you for sharing.

I appreciate these types of videos. This shows me that this is not really a palette I would use, even though it is beautiful.
Mine will he arriving tomorrow!! ❤😊 Great job with this look!!

I absolutely love eye swatch videos! 😍
I love seeing the eye swatches thank fir taking the time to do it 🙂
7:32 oh that’s interesting 🩶🩶🩶
Night sky is my new favorite liner for upper lashline! It looks blue on me too!!!! But I’m loving it as liner!
I truly do not understand the hype around this palette. It’s like two colors in different finishes with the one pink glitter. Easy pass for me 🫤
Well said!
I can still see the differences in the shades, but you said it best!
It's a Hard pass for me. 😕
A lot of people feel the same way about that I need a nude palette it’s called preference people have them
15y old me would have bathed in this but are there even scene/emo kids anymore (that could magically afford this) 😅. I love ND blackest black but um ya only need one.
Please continue to do arm and eye swatches ❤
Your hair! I’m in love!
Classy, beautiful….it’s you!
Your hair cut looks amazing!
omg your hair ❤❤❤
These eye swatches are great, is there any way you could do closer up, just want to see the eyes in frame thanks
I love grey too! I think if there were more types grey like tones I would have jumped on it. But it is very expensive for a lot of grey.
Your hair 😍😍😍😍
This palette would be so pretty for new years (or Christmas) with a navy lacy dress or silver dress!
Those shades are actually so pretty when applied! 😍 hope you’re hanging in there Samantha! ❤
Your hair looks great!
I love that you did all the swatches. Also if you put the light shadows on top of the dark shadow, you may see the color more. ❤
Love your hair!
I know everyone else is saying it but your hair does look beautiful! 💜
Your hair looks beautiful!! ❤

Had to google "sposh" muddy substance, particularly like in melting show... learned something new

I’m so excited to see your thoughts on this!
I love mixing up my ND palettes you can swap out a white with something else and viola! Perfect for you palette!
Your hair looks great

I bet that pinky shade would pop more over that matte white
Your natural hair looks so much better than your extensions did. So fresh, bouncy and great blond tones. BEAUTIFUL!!!
I am probably an outlier here, but I love white shades, and I am thrilled to see this!
Your hair looks amazing!!!
I got it. I like it, but yes, I agree pinks are a little misleading in ND photos. I will be using it with other palettes. I am glad I used ulta points to get the palettes I picked up.

very helpful, love this idea of showing eyeshadows one by one ^^)
I want to see all the lighter shades built on to the black or white, I wonder if the pinks will come out

Greys look pretty on you. My mom wears greys and they look good on her too! Not my color though.
When you had your head turned you could really see the pink
I see this palette as a sad waste with all of them in the same tones of black and whites. They could've added at least 2 other with pops of color and would've made a better palette. #SamSquad💞 Loads of Love❣

thank you so much 💓
Not meaning to sound repetitive (sorry!), but every look you did with the Yucca palette was uniquely beautiful!! This new palette is so visually boring that it makes me feel disappointed. BUT - I so appreciate your swatches and final opinion, because it confirms my thoughts. Luv ya.
Your hair looks adorable like that.
Your hair is perfection and a whole ass vibe here
omg I love the hair
thanks!
I ordered this palette right away! Before I got it, videos were going up, I watched them all. But, I was kind of feeling regret, afraid I wouldn’t like this palette at all. Can you do a video with the sigma beauty and the beast palette 🙏🏼
aw yes!
@@SamanthaMarchxo yay 😀
Thank you, I seriously appreciate the eye swatch video! That said... Ouch, your poor eyelids!!! 😬
I guess my view of this palette varies from the majority. I don't view this palette as something I would reach for to create day-to-day looks or as a singular travel choice like a Biba. I mean sure you can create some stunning looks with a wash of just a singular shade or combination of two shades. So often I hear, "this palette would be perfect with the addition of a white shade for inner corner or a black for adding depth." That's how I view this palette, as a perfect utility palette in ND's superior formula. And for those (travel) palettes that are missing that white/black, I can pop out a shade I'm less inclined to use while on the road and pop in the perfect shade of matte/metallic/shimmer white/black from this palette because of ND's smart palette design. ❤ If I was going to buy only one ND palette, this wouldn't be my choice.
This could have been a 5pan…oh wait😂
I had my first colonoscopy yesterday and when I woke up the first words the doctor said, “Screening saves lives.” He then told me that a 1 mm polyp is considered large and requires a specialist to remove it. So per doctor’s orders I am telling friends and family the screening saves lives. It was way easier than all the hype and blows doors on treating &/or dying of colon cancer. After my first mammogram, they called and wanted to do a biopsy, so I’m 2 for 2!
❤❤❤
Eye swatches are more helpful close up so we can see the finish. They all look great on you!
This one is not for me. But I do love ND and her formulas.
I think doing this color story in a larger palette is a little unnecessary when there's the mini Xenon that has the perfect gradient already (and of course the Colourpop Blowin' Smoke). I have the Colourpop palette, and it's honestly the perfect collection of blacks and grays for me since I don't wear that color story super often. I hope your eyes are recovering!!
