I absolutely agree. I just wish you couldn't raise all of your stats to level 10. The limits of EV's allowed for specific builds and strategies; none of which actually exist in Legends: Arceus.

I wouldn't mind IV's if they were much more visible and able to be manipulated manually much better with items or some other mechanic other than breeding. It's just annoying when you catch something rare with a low spawn rate, a legendary where you usually only can catch one copy of it per run or a shiny and then find it has probably the shittest IV's possible or none in the stats that matter for it.

I really like IVs. I like that it makes each pokemon unique stat wise. I do wish they were visible in early game so people who cared could go out of their way to catch a "good" pokemon, and people who don't care wouldn't have to worry. The thing is, the stat swing IVS cause throughout the course of a normal playthrough don't effect you enough to make the game too much harder. it has an effect still, but it's minimal, and leads to the world feeling more real for me. Like I don't think I've not been able to beat a gym because of them, but they have affected my battles with friends while we play through a game, and that's always been fun to me.

While I agree that the concept of Pokemon used to be about bounding to a Pokemon to help you through your adventure, outside of the anime it really doesn't have a place, certainly it isn't really in any of the games themselves. Yes people will use their favorites, but they have cut out any sort of interactions that you used to have to be able to do anything with a Pokemon that you are supposed to befriend. Now its more about which pokemon you can use to get you the farthest rather than feeling like they are your partners. Not to mention, more than half of them you can't use anymore since they are no longer moving all of the past generations into the newer games.
Alpha pokemon are a collection gimmick, as much as shinys are. That's really all they are there for.

I much prefer the system for getting an optimized pokemon in PLA. It takes around 2-5 minutes to get a pokemon to max effort, level 100, correct nature, and 4 correct moves. Compared to main line games where it requires having the correct passive, max evs, max ivs, egg moves/TMs, and getting the correct held item. The process in the average pokemon game is way too convoluted for its own good, especially given that most pokemon only have 1-2 correct builds to optimize them into anyways.
    PLA simplifies the process by:
    - Allowing a direct pokedollar to exp conversion that can auto max any pokemon to level 100 in under 10 seconds.
    - Efforts can be maxed within about 1 minute.
    - Extremely easy access to mints to instantly change their nature (currently at around 60 all mints, enough to max for all of solitude and still have many remaining)
    - Any pokemon can quickly learn any move the species is capable of learning with no need of TMs, egg moves, and similar mechanics. This also shows a list of every possible move a pokemon is capable of learning, something never done within any other pokemon game.
    - Randomly battling with the pokemon before maxing it doesn't ruin its stats.
    - Any pokemon that is caught can quickly and easily become the best min/maxed version of that pokemon regardless of its starting values.

Just came off of beating Dialga in this game, and the only complaint I really have about the game is how the battles work. I’m interested to hear your opinions, but I doubt they’ll have much merit.
Edit: Nearing halfway in already and...well, so far my initial impression was right. The story is pretty great in my opinion, sure it’s pretty simple, but that’s about the only thing I can negatively say about it, I personally can’t understand what that point comes from, as to me the story was basically just a segue into catching more Pokémon. And yeah the sidequests weren’t good...but when is a sidequest ever good in any game? I have never wanted or needed to do a sidequest in a game, and the same is true for legends: arceus, which I appreciate because I’m only there story wise for the main story. As for alpha Pokémon not being different...they are? You literally say in the video that their effort levels are higher and act like that doesn’t do anything. Sure you can just train up your own Pokémon to be of higher effort levels, but that makes sense given that’s essentially what happened to the alpha Pokémon, just without the help of the trainer. It means you don’t have to throw away an old Pokémon you may have grown attached to just because this alpha is better.
Edit 2: You’re losing me even more here, it kinda sounds like you were expecting this game to be not Pokémon at all, which is ludicrous. The dialogue was fine, it never disrupted me much when I was playing and I actually find how it outlines certain things better for the children who this game was made for. Other than that certain characters have certain charms to them, while admittedly some, like the two leaders, feel samey. Also about the starbound criticism...that’s another point of confusion for me. Back when I played it I was able to get all of the best gear before even starting the storyline, and I very much enjoy going to all the races home planets to find out about those races before a bossfight, I think you’re expecting a “Skyrim” or “Fallout” with it when those can really be called nitpicks at best.
Conclusion: Yeah I don’t even need to finish this video, stopped at 14:18, it just devolves into nitpicks that would do literally nothing for the game if they’re changed. The way legendary battles are done are perfect to me because most of the time I’m not there for gimmicks or special nonsense, I’m there for Pokémon, which those fights deliver. Some alpha Pokémon having their own set places on the map while others can just spawn as alphas helps with keeping things challenging in my opinion, having certain alphas in certain places also adds a sense of a sort of side thing that isn’t stated like a dumbass sidequest, but is more of a personal challenge when you can get to it. The “consistency” crap is a non issue, just another nitpick. In the end, it really just sounds like you came to a Pokémon game expecting it to be, to use an earlier criticism, Skyrim and not Pokémon. It sounds like you’ve gotten used to being on the bandwagon of hating what Pokémon has recently done, and tried to find a way to apply that bandwagon here. You can have your opinions of course, but at the end of the day, all I can really say is they’re just wrong given how much most other people love this game and all the awesome stuff it brings to the table.
Final edit: Just to make sure not to be a dick, I did finish the video...and I was right. The rest of the video was nitpick after nitpick in quick succession. If you’re reading this viewer then do yourself a favor and don’t watch the video, it’s got nothing of use to add, it’s just another old Pokémon fan that likes being bitter.

No it's not. Just because this is game is the best thing 5 ever for pokemon its just that. The best thing 5 ever for pokemon. It's another mediocre game in a mediocre series. These issue's are valid issue's. The consistency problem isn't a problem? How is the game operating like it had a split decision on how it would work and what it would do between the starting half and ending half a non issue? I know your a pokemon head and view pokemon as pokemon and not an actual game series so something like this isn't bad to you because your used to worse. Saying not expecting it to be pokemon is bs because he states several times that he gets its a pokemon game but that doesn't make his criticisms invalid. Pokemon isn't void of criticism because its pokemon thats not how it works. It's very obvious by looking at the game it isn't up to snuff and than after watching this ALL FEARS I had were proven to be true. It's a shitty handled breath of the wild copy with pokemon and you all are losing your mind because its the first time they've done something different in decades. You all have to remember that you enjoying it and it being a good game aren't the same thing. It's old ,has classic pokemon problems and doesn't know what it wants to be so it fucks up at both numerous times. It's an inconsistent mess ,with weak characters,an even weaker story and a pointless change in style for it to not excell at anything. It's the best thing pokemon has done yes. But that isn't saying much when the vast majority of pokemon games are just the absolute worse of the monster catching genre and have been banking on the fact that its pokemon to carry it ever since it made it past gen 5. You call them nitpicks but never say how they are invalid you just say they are. You sound like the hype has gotten to you and you were so pressed for this new thing to be good that you couldn't see how truly mid of a game it is. And to be honest thats not to bad for pokemon. All of pokemons new games(x and y onwards) have been boring, uninspired and basic ass rpgs, ranging from actually unplayable to at the very best decent with some game breakingly bad issue that makes you not want to finish it or play it in general. This game is only slightly better because it isn't the same stupid rehashed pokemon game. The vast majority of you have shown that being a comitted pokemon fan is stupid as there will never be a hidden gem a flat out good game in this franchise, it will always be the same boring and useless excuse that "you expected to much". No I didn't. I expect these games to be good games. I'm not some blinded nostalgia baby I don't belive in this bs pokemon comparison or pokemon quality stuff. A good pokemon game isn't a real thing, it's not its own measure of game or quality. It's rather a bad game or a good game regardless of the ip and this is just another bad game. Some of these complaints just seem nit-picky, like the one about Shinx not completing the side quest when you toss it out, while others just sound insane, like the game being too handholdy and limiting to the player. Besides some short sections like Ingo in Wayward Cave or the tutorial section, the game lets you do whatever the fuck you want in the areas until you decide to progress the story by going up to the quest marker. In the first area alone I spent hours in between Akari′s tutorial and Mai catching mons, and I did it all over again later, and in every other area! To be honest, what the heck were you doing? Did you just follow any quest marker that appeared, no questions asked? Does any text box, cutscene or character advice whatsoever cause you to break out into blind rage? There are legitimate criticisms here like the graphics and blocking off multi-release use initially (no idea about your grievances with the story tho, since ya never explained your issues beyond vague "they suck" descriptions) but it seems you have a bit of a problem yourself with how you approach this type of game.

@@hastur_kinginyellow5310 What makes you think that I think this video is a personal attack against me? I don't know about other people, but I can take criticism for games that I like, even my favorites like Epic Mickey, for example! The issue I have with Davo's critique here is that it either comes off as very irrational, or as if he never explored the game and just went from quest marker to quest marker, which is not the intended way of playing games like this. If you want some better criticism of Legends: Arceus, let me, a person who put hundreds of hours into the game and enjoyed the whole journey, help:
      - Running is tied to a weird button, pressing the left stick, and it's limited use, slow recharge, and invisible stamina meter makes it very annoying to use.
      - The Manaphy mission is HORRIFIC game design; it requires either a guide or a playthrough of BDSP up to a library in order to solve the puzzle, which no game should ever do.
      - Darkrai and Shaymin's missions being locked behind having save data of other Pokémon games is also really crappy, as they're unique missions with thankfully-optional Pokémon; if save data just unlocked them erarlier and they were accessible to all players, that would have been far better.
      - The Photo Studio does it's job, but the backgrounds are mostly just colors, the filters are limited, Poké,mon head-tracking can be very finicky when they perform animations, and there are a lot of missing, very helpful features: you can only use one Pokémon for photos, you can't select what NPC(s) can join you or if they'll bring their Pokémon, you can't use your Pokémon in the same picture as a NPC, you can't take a picture without yourself, you can't pause animations or blinking, you can't preview anything before selecting it, you can't edit your outfit while in the Studio, and you can't change the camera's position/zoom/tilt/focus/aiming!
      - You can't change your Survey Corps/Trainer Card's photo; it stays your unkempt, default self the whole dang game!
      - The hairstyles are still pretty limited, with no black hairstyles such as afros, and the colors are all pretty weak; a color wheel would be 10x better.
      - NPCs still share so many generic models; the Mini--Game guy, Photo Studio guy and Bagin could've been ancestors of the missing Barry, Looker or whatever, but nope, generic models instead. We're in 2022, we can do better with model generation!
      - The lack of Following Pokémon is really disappointing, as it would've been perfect to have companions in a open-area game like this! It feels kinda lonely in the fields otherwise.
      - The lack of voice-acting besides protagonist grunts is also really disappointing; it would've probably helped people like Davo get invested in the characters more if they didn't just flap their lips with empty air.
      - While the character customization is good in a lot of ways, they missed out on so many cool outfits, instead just focusing on short kimonos mainly. Why can't I wear Commander Kamado, Ingo or Adaman's outfit, a Gingko Guild uniform, or T-shirts, seeing how the clothes-maker lady is inspired by so many other things such as Pokémon?
      - While the three thieves are funny and have a interesting concept of being former members of the three Clans, nothing is done with them, and they aren't meaningfully explored beyond being comic-relief baddies who receive no sympathy from either the characters or game. It would've been really cool to see them take in the protagonist after they're exiled from Jubilife Village near the game's climax due to their similar circumstances, but alas, that never happened.
      - The game still does a lot of telling and not showing; we hear about how dangerous Pokémon are in this world, and how the Nobles normally protect their territory but have gone into a dangerous frenzy, but we never actually see any Pokémon attacks or how the Nobles have become dangerous. This may be a family-friendly franchise, but they mention maiming, injury and death, so they could at least show some signs of Pokémon being dangerous besides dialogue, without needing blood and gore.
      - The Spiritomb quest can be very annoying; the game's rendering/draw distance is already very poor, and even though they glow brighter at night, they can still be very annoyingto find, especially since they don't have an assigned number or something like the Unowns. Plus, it would''ve been so sool to have a small story for each spirit on why they were trapped in Spiritomb's stone, but sadly, that never happened.
      - Space-Time Distortions should've had a way of guranteeing an appearance or greatly increasing their changes rather than having to wait in one area without returning to Jubilife or sleeping to another state of day so the chances of one appearing could eventually rise up to being inevitable. If they just had rarer Pokémon or evolved forms of mons that could still all be found outside of them, their randomness would be better, but having to wait up to 40 minutes just to get a chance at it showing up at a area where a exclusive Pokémon can show up, just so you can get a CHANCE at catching it or filling in their Dex entry, especially the fossils, is INCREDIBLY irritating!
      - The use of food items should've been incentivized more for use, as most people just use the super-common Oran Berry since it works just as fine on most Pokémon as a preferred cake does.
      - The reward for getting your final Survey Corps rank is really weak, just being some EXP and Grit items. For something so vital to your progress in the game, it should've been something much more special, such as a Master Ball recipe, since you'll basically have the game completed and every Pokémon obtained at that point.

Honestly, they are massive jump in the wrong direction when you specifically look at the amount of handholding modern Pokémon games have, and the terrible game design decisions intentionally made by the developers that didn’t need to be there from the start. They could not even explain in more depth what that strange lightning is and where it comes from other then the fact that it’s comes from a rift in the sky, in some areas it is a step towards the right direction but there’s a lot of game design issues at play here that hold this game back by a lot. The reason terrible game design decisions are even made are due to the incompetence of the people making the games and the huge sudden shift in a flawed game philosophy which is completely out of touch with what the true fans of the series want. This is exactly why Pokémon will never truly be what it was meant to be from the start. Ever since generation 1-5 Pokémon games were meant to go down a certain very promising direction, x and y is when the series started stagnating and we are still feeling the effects of that even in legends arceus which is a game that’s suppose to change up the formula but fails to give up the aspect that is holding back the series and that is the handholding and the terrible game design decisions and the fact that they are using a small budget on a game that’s suppose to go down a very “bold new direction” overall I don’t think this game was worth 60 dollars, it’s worth 40 dollars at most and that’s me being generous.

Considering the marketing weight of the Pokemon franchise would never allow a game delay, I think the only way Game Freak's games could ever live up to its own franchise with the gradual increase in technical complexity would be if they had more teams that each worked on their respective projects for longer. They aren't making smaller sprite-based handheld games anymore, and they need more than the barely 2 years each game has been getting ever since they moved to full 3D in X&Y.

You made some very good points, particularly with the revenge killing. I never realised that was a huge problem until you pointed it out. I have to admit though, you're being too critical. When you started, you made the point that with BDSP they "knew what they were doing" - I highly disagree with this point, yes, they had a template, so in that sense they "knew", but as a whole, they failed immeasurably. If anything, they took away from the original. I really do think you cannot compare the two.

majority of people are far too lenient with their judgement when it comes to pokemon games in general. were this fanbase to have more people who held pokemon as a game franchise to a higher standard and not compromise with the mediocre bar it sets for itself, we'd either watch it die as nintendo displays how little they give a shit and go milk something else, or they'd actually have to go the extra mile for once and give us something worthwhile, but this isnt the star wars community, or the battlefield community, or any other community that'd vote with their wallet so hard u'd think the ip is dead.
a good portion of the pokemon fanbase are kids, kids with no concept of value for their money, so long as it has pokemon on the label they'll eat it up, and unfortunately its not just the kids that are like this. and so we'll watch this cycle repeat itself for years to come as its been doing for a good long while, unless people finally get pissed enough and we all just drop it until they do something besides releasing 2 versions of the same game every fuckin year, because what these people and alot of this fanbase considers new or impressive is at best, a QOL update for lots of other games out here. At the end of the day they know no matter what people will always buy the next 2 games next year, and the next, and the next.
Sadly there's alot of valid points in this video if not all of them, points that i dont believe it should take much thought to arrive at let alone understand in greater capacity, it simply doesn tmatter how badly this game could suck, watch someone defend it.
i will only personally acknowledge what it does technically achieve by its own standards as a game in comparison to the ones before it, but this is nintendo, i will give these people no praise until i see something truly earth shattering, because somehow people fail to realize half the shit they tried to do with arceus shouldve been done ages ago, the capability of the switch is not even a factor at this point if u've quite literally played any other modern game that came before it. they've kept this formula going for a decade or so now, its ridiculous. in conclusion legends arceus imo is just the perfect example of what ive been saying for years, these games are subpar at best, even for their own standard within the franchise, and there are other games out there, be it mmo's rpgs, or even painful gacha games like genshin thats also a fuckin "mobile game" mind you, that do alot of what legends arceus attempted to do, and do it better, doesnt even matter what example i drop in here, someone will always use the lazy excuse of "the switch isnt powerful enough", while it easily runs other games like warframe or doom, and yet legends arceus looks like a ps2 game at best, artistically, visually, narrative, all 3 of those things and none of them were nailed from a company that makes more bank off of u every year than we can count, and can still push haughty shit like pokemon home + DLC's in sword and shield that u have to buy just for the feature of having your pokemon follow you, and now you have this game, i dont care if you think its fun, whether or not an individual simply "had fun" with it is barely half the battle when the criticism this game gets is about objective values that can be compared to other games, with the constant reminder that this is from a corporation with all the money/time and resources to create something solid. Instead, in the meantime, nintendont is busy going after content creators and the like, abusing dmca like every typical corporation who doesnt want people potentially making money off stuff we know they dont actually care about, like "emulating" their games. And regardless of whether or not you're "emulating" or using it as a means to pirate their half assed repetitious formula every year, it isnt like they're actually gonna take your money if u want to emulat it legally, because they're not interested in preserving what we the fans want to keep value in, they dont offer u something in place of it and they'll still shut ur shit down over it, They've got all the time and power to do that, and still THIS is the "open world experience" u get after years upon years of the same nonsense.
wouldnt matter how professionally you structure criticism of this game, to a T even, watch somebody relentlessly try to convince you its a good game. If you told me it was fanmade by some dude in their attic i'd honestly believe you, because thats what this game looks like case and point, and i dont just mean graphics. Both pokemon and the community that settles for the low bar this sets just leaves me reminding myself the open-world ADVENTURE pokemon rpg that deserves to exist to do the aesthetic and approach of the anime and that feeling of actually raising ur pokemon and inhabiting a vibrant world teeming with said pokemon, is a fantasy that will forever be a pipe dream. And when thats how nintendo so much as treats people preserving games, nevermind making a solid game themself, no wonder legends: arceus is the way it is, hence why i cannot blame anyone for emulating pokemon games, albeit preservation, or outright piracy, im no white knight for whether or not you've given a multibillion dollar company your money, but when you tell me a 2022 game from said people looks like This, and this is them doing something new.....you're probably doing yourself a favor.
Long story short, this review does the best job at actually critiquing this game as is while also throwing in some personal opinions. had fun or not, this is what it is.

I don't think this game is mediocre, yes this is what the series should have been and i am not saying it's the best ever, and it isn't a perfect game too, but it did shape the foundation for Scarlet and Violet the upcoming open world games.
I've seen some poketubers being able to address the positives and negatives of the games without over-exaggerating or fixating on them, they can do better with the games and i can understand that they should have done this earlier, but this game has shaped up the stale formula, scarlet and violet is confirmed to be open world by the way.

@@blakedake19 I don't think it's that bad of a game, isn't what this game the fanbase wanted for they're like "This is what a fan can do! Can the billion dollar company do the same?" And this is the game that feels like it's made by a passionate Pokemon fan, but if you don't like it then that is fine. Again i am not saying that this is a perfect game, but there's certainly a lot of quality of life updates and something they've definitely put some effort into. IMO the formula back then was fine, they just didn't put their full potential into it like B2W2 for example is a game that uses the old formula but is able to perfect it, still the reuse of the formula will get stale quickly and they have to try something new because of what they've done with SWSH and BDSP, LGPE. So this change could have been implemented years ago, but i think it's mainly because last time they perfected the formula but now aren't so competent in doing so so they had to do it now to try something new and innovative. But in the end, that is just my opinion.

i disagree with your opinion on IV's, i am happy that they are gone as i believe that, past natures, the grind is very tedious. however, i do agree with your opinion on effort levels and a very interesting solution ive heard from a professional pokemon player is to cap how many total levels a pokemon can have (below the 50(?) in total) so you will have to choose which stats are strongest and make it a decision rather than a grind to get all perfect 10s. i also share your sentiment that alpha pokemon are not very different aside from stats and with the proposed effort level change alphas can be different by already being boosted in some effort levels without affecting the theoretical cap.
otherwise, i agree that the story is as flat and uninteresting as some of the terrain and caves in the game. though i dont have an issue with them using a "chosen one" story, the written part is very bland and uninteresting with obvious places for a visual explanation rather than an exposition dump. however, i do adore the character designs and do think that the twist near the end was actually interesting but i wish it lasted for longer and they should have taken it much further. what if you had to help your chosen clan grow from a tent community into its own town as well, and helped the other grow during post game? speaking of which, a jubilife guard mentions team galactic wanting to grow a camp into another town, and it pains me that it is nothing more than a piece of dialogue.
and in the case with wayward cave, i thought ingo was faster than me at first, it would have been brilliant if he unknowingly out speeded you and left you alone in the labyrinth. otherwise, his character is one of the most interesting ones as he was part of the battle subway duo in black and white and has been teleported back in time with amnesia just as you have. he really does mirror you in a special way no other character has and i wish he also had an arc phone (perhaps even arc flip-phone) and became more of a rival as you both race to meet arceus and find your way home.
the idea of pokemon running from you, that would otherwise attack, if you had a strong partner pokemon following you is a great idea. i wish that i would stop having to enjoy my time to listen to the danger theme when a level 4 zubat tries to challenge the god of shadows.

The standards for Pokémon are so borked from lack of meaningful improvement to the series, and at this point general lack of modern quality, that Legends coming along and doing the bare minimum of what we expect has somehow led people to think it's this massive leap for the franchise.
Baby this game barely scratches the surface of what we should expect a truly open Pokémon game to be. It's a solid start, but a long way to go before it's worth comparing to Breath of the Wild or most other RPGs these days. Honestly I don't mind the added choice but I think they should have had the unfinished ones disappear at the 10 mark and put in some other shiny odds raising mechanic instead because pulling up the dex and seeing unfinished stuff drives me mad. But I'm not about to watch magicarp use splash 100 times. It's just unnecessary. And personally I feel like they removed too much from the battle system like held items and abilities for this agile and strong style which frankly just didn't work. Example I use agile style 2 time in a row versus normal moves. On the third turn I get 2 moves in a row. But I kill the opponent turn 1. Suddenly my second turn not only is removed but somehow the opponent gets to move twice. The strong style was basically asking for for pokemon to be killed by the next one that comes out. And it just ended up being not fun to do battles. The boss fights were fun and catching was fun but the battle system is garbage. The open area is great but trees and rocks hit boxes are too big often getting in the way of catching pokemon. The button mapping felt off. With more then 1 time me falling to my death because I was trying to switch between a ride pokemon but pressed the wrong button. And needing nintendo switch online to get your stuff is more then infuriating especially since I almost always died to fall damage and not the game play. Honestly it's not a bad game but I don't want to see this game be the thing we use going forward. Rather I'd like to see a few of the really good stuff make it in and the other stuff flushed out in some other legends game maybe legends Kyurem.

I hope Nintendo never in life thinks that they can make a Pokémon game and go out of the formula. The fact this game had no gym badges made me turn this shit off this has no challenge. The maps are so plain it’s just fields and field and fields of land. You don’t even have a bike.

As I said when I finished the game, it is a step in the right direction. Granted they made quite a few backsteps to get there.

I totally agree it's one of the worst games I've ever played. The only good pokemon games on the switch are brilliant diamond and shining pearl.

I think a lot of the problems stem from nintendo targeting pokemon to children. they feel like they have to dumb down everything...

I absolutely hate that they make it so you have to catch a Pokémon multiple times to complete a single entry in the Pokédex

I disagree on the effort stuff, HOWEVER,
I do agree on pokemon feeling same-y. No abilities and held items, and rather limited movepools remove uniqueness of pokemon imo
I've wanted to try out Carnivine and Ambipom for example, but here I just couldn't bring myself to. Carnivine doesn't have levitate, the one thing making it kind of neat, and Ambipom lost Fake Out and Skill Link/Technician which would've made it feel a little more different from its pure normal brethren
The total of moves here is pretty small iirc, so you kinda just see the same handful of moves again and again
But I like alphas, even if it was just a visual thing I liked having my beeg gastodon emitting roars from hell itself

Arceus IS made by a developer that spent far too long inside his comfort zone

12:40 This is because it's a mission designed specifically to introduce alphas, which are never static after the fact. It wants new players to learn about them instead of just getting destroyed in the wild and assuming the game isn't fair. I actually liked that the legendary Pokemon battles were varied. It felt like a good mix of totem Pokemon, classic Pokemon, and the new mechanics introduced. It's not like when they introduced Megas or Gigantamax and they made EVERY BOSS be one.

I was kinda disappointed mostly because it wasn't really open world, you would fast travel to locations which I didn't always like, I wanted to be able to leave and walk there on my own, also they removed earthquake which I thought was going to be in the game which is a good move, yet I'm forced to just use earthpower or high horsepower.
