This movie is just heart crushing, I only get bunch of teardrops and hopes that the ending could have been different.
I always cry so much at the end of the movie and I think about how many things we postpone, we wait, we don't tell people how much we love them until we lose them...😥

Great movie. Great acting, with each character portrayed so well. My favorite was Dodge. Paul Newman was a superb actor. Robin Wright is a great actress.

I love hate this movie. Paul Newman 💯❤️ omg he’s so good in this movie with Kevin how he wanted happiness for his only son.
Tragic love story, the chemistry between Kevin & Robin, she plays her role so well. She’s beautiful, yet Never felt good enough for him, constantly being reminded that his wife was his soul mate and she’s in 2nd place. But he DID LOVE HER. He let go of his grief and opened his heart to her.
The ending was so sad, I wish it turned out differently!
I forgot this movie existed until I found an old movie stub, good memories.
When I watched it, I really felt this movie was good. I was thrilled with Garret and Theresa’s chemistry. But, in the end I was sad And my heart was broken for Theresa too much at the ending of this movie. 😭💔❤

ive watched many many movies all kinds .,,.but romance side this is the best movie that ive seen ..we all have heard the message in the bottle story or saying but now go watch this movie an be amazed .......
Damn wtf I was rooting for those two to end up together they were good together even though it was such a short romance for them both it was beautiful
Such a great movie but what happened in the end pissed me off so much that I wanted to put my fist into my tv and cry. Only two other movies have made me feel this way and this was a third. A must watch movie but just be prepared to cry if you understand and you have felt true love.

I totally get your feelings...maybe a coma for a week wake up and be together .......needs a better ending..but not death..that was a cruel ending...i need magic from movies not this ending !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love Nicholas Sparks books, and I LOVE watching the movies, but I wonder why he chooses to make them all tragedies opposed to just a great romantic love story with a beautiful ending? I guess that is just "his" style of writing, and just the same, I guess there are people who love and gravitate towards that kind of reading. I'll still continue to read and watch, but I know the ending before it happens and I hate that, but I prepare myself for it!

Not all of his stories end in tragedy. For example The last song and Safe haven. Yes I know Ronnie`s father passes away and that is tragic, but at least she ends up with Will and the same happens in Safe Haven - the couple stays together. That being said, I wish he did have more happy endings but I guess life just isn`t exactly full of them and this is why he writes what he writes. I was so sad and disappointed when I heard he and his wife divorced...
@@xLillyLx But it's weird because those only 2 he has with happy endings are the most cliche. Less intense. More basic. I guess even more boring. Of course this is just my personal opinion and no disrespect intended. I just feel like those 2 stories people really aren't missing out on anything. Vs with all the rest that are to die for and so intense and full of every feeling possible lol. It's like I love all the bad endings ones but I hate them😭

I am watching this movie right now for the first time and I'm actually enjoying it. Also I went out and bought Nicholas Sparks five dvd disc box set, dvd box set includes the lucky one, the notebook, a Walk to remember, message in a bottle and nights in rodanthe. This box set only cost me $10 at Barnes & nobles.
mr costner movie " the bodyguard ".. well as i recall that movie reminds me when i was 9, starting to feel the movie.. i love it so now that i am 30 still kilig much.. he he and this movie " message in a bottle ", well i kind of falling in love again.. love it.

A Beautiful movie
Being from Eastern NC, I was disappointed that the water scenes were not shot in eastern NC. Looks like the New England coast to me. Opportunity lost to not show part of the inspiration for the story (life on the Outer Banks).

Loved the acting but not a fan of the story line. It's pretty much about a stalker.
Even though I find his grief very unrealistic nowadays, I cried everytime I watched the movie. These days when a man loses his partner he goes: FREEDOM! Next! 😁

Here’s a true story.
I watched this trailer in the cinema back in 99 The audience was quiet. The trailer built up the anticipation. We had no clue what was coming. Then Kevin Costner appeared and the entire cinema audience started laughing. Not a good sign for Kevin.
I adore his acting...Kevin is great..the audience was not ..sorry

the last message was so badly worded and written as if by someone else, it wasnt like the first two. the whole ending seemed rushed as if thedirector said ok that's enough let's just end it any which way, and the acting got worse too! Dodge's phone call to Teresa was so strange and emotionless even! again, script failed.
The worst Kevin Costner movie ive ever saw in my opinion.
