Been wearing a first gen TT-Course for a few years, it’s a great budget helmet, great field of view, decently comfy, and very breathable (I sweat a lot normally but never in it). Downsides are this helmet is very loud, and you’d have to adjust the position of the ratchet for each visor, I got 3 of them (clear, dark smoke, and mirror) and each of them fits differently. Quite a pain in the ass if you commute to work in it.
Hi, I'm from Indonesia. Here actually there is one more helmet that is a bit cheaper than TTC which is KYT Striker. I have 3 KYT helmets for daily use: Striker, TTC and R2R. All three have different fitments. And i'm sure they are made for different human head shapes.
I don’t have any experience with the Alpinestars helmet so I wouldn’t be able to give a solid comparison. I do think it would be a very good comparison though.
Great video, man. Greetings from Indonesia. Honestly, I am still waiting for R2R with a single-visor version. Here, we have the N-series for single-visor only and the one with sun-visor (NFR, NX-Race, NZ-Race). For now, I still use NX, but I love that "easy lock system" on R2R.
@@itsmeericb Sorry man, I mean I hope that KYT creates that version because in N-series there are NFR (with sun-visor) and NX, NZ with single-visor only
When are they going to be available again? I've been looking at their site for months and almost all sizes are out of stock. I need one with a recent build date for racing next year, but can't find one anywhere. We have to swap helmets after 60mo. Mine just expired this year.
@@tonyread5559 I was informed they just got a restock in. They will receive more replenishment shipments for the NZ Race in December and more KX-1 in January 2025. The R2R will arrive around early November and the TT Course should arrive in January 2025.
You can use it on the street but it does have a lot of wind noise and isn’t the most comfortable for long rides. I would go for the NX-Race. The KX-1 is made for high speeds.
I know these only have 2 shell sizes, except the flagship. The helmets look huge. Do you find the profile to be larger than other helmets that have 3 shell sizes? Thanks.
Yeah a little bit I think but it’s been super hot where I’m at so I always have them all open. Mostly would come up from the bottom if all vents are closed.
@@will_6367 Not gonna lie it does feel really soft but I actually like it. Compared to the KX-1 or the AGV Pista GP RR, those cheek pads are more stiff. If I’m going to ride the bike out on the road for a long period of time I want it to be more comfortable. On the track you are only running g short sessions and then take the helemt off. I crashed wearing the NZ-Race on the street and it did perfectly fine.
@@just-youtubing6 they both feel the same when it comes to comfort. Only real difference is NZ-Race is carbon while the X14 is not. Also NZ is ECE and Shoei is Snell rated.
The website doesn’t really specify other than shell sizes. I would assume it’s an intermediate oval because it feels like all of my other helmet brands, which run that head shape.
What bothers me about this video is that all the stuff you said about the $800 helmet can be found even on the cheapest line of AGV helmets... I'm talking about 150€/166$, I can't understand why anyone would spend so much for a KYT while you can just get a high top quality AGV for 500$ 🤔🇮🇹
Well then you made your choice 😂 Buy the AGV if that’s what you want. I’ve owned a few AGV helmets from their budget model all the was to the Pista GP RR. For the price you are paying more for the name. The Pista did not impress means I sold two of them. Not saying they won’t perform but how many MoroGP riders do you see wearing AGV helmets nowadays since Rossi left?? Clout helmets.
On the fence? No matter if you want something for the street or something for the track, KYT has something for you!

I’ve noticed the visor on the TT course can be a bit tricky to get on sometimes.

Thank you I wanted a Kyt helmet but didnt know which one haha great video
😂 Hey I’m glad I could aid in your decision!
Do you know where we can buy the KX1 and they have it in stock?
If the website is sold out I’d try a google search. Speed Addicts is another place that may have them.
i been to KYT website but pretty much every Helmet is sold out and cant find it anywhere yet, hopefully they come out with an upograded
I’m sorry. Have you tried a Google search for other sellers?
Since KYT is catching so much traction now, what about KX1 vs Alpinestars R10? Since they're pretty comparable at a glance

out of the close to 50 graphics they have for their 4-5 helmets they sell... nothing is in stock. 👎
I have the R2R sincerly it's incredibly worth it, and the price is very good! depends on location I live in Brazil
Yes for the price it is a good helmet! 👍
Hai , i am using TTC green matte anda blue red, this is low entry helmets from indonesian, but i like TTC and KYT C5 race, C5 that is legend helmet

How quiet are these helmets compared to my shoei rf-1400? I still wear earplugs either way but just curious.
Still pretty loud. I always wear ear plugs regardless if it’s considered quiet. Wind noise is always really loud minus the exhaust noise.
When did you start riding ?
Does the visors have photochromic version?
I don’t believe that they do. Are you talking about how it’s clear then turns dark in the sun sort of like what HJC has?
pretty much if not all good to know

@@gcbr600 No they all fit well except for the KX-1 which is a little tight in the cheeks. I do believe you can go in and adjust the pads.
I was referring to the shell size, not necessarily the fitment. Thanks😃
