i got this tv about a month ago. i have no previous experience from proper tvs (my previous model was a 2006-2007 old LG lcd 720 tv) but it seems really good so far. the panel seems great in "movie" setting (i also adjusted it according to an online guide i found from a site) and the sound is much better than what i expected from a flat tv, totally acceptable to watch a movie. the smart functions are really fast compared to some others i tested on a retailer the smart remote is awesome. its so good that i ended up storing the "normal" remote in a drawer. one feature that i really loved though is the IR blaster. since i have an extra receiver for sat tv, i had to use 2 remotes until now (one for tv, one for receiver), but now i can use the tv remote to also control the sat receiver, and the setup is incredibly easy, just enter your zip or postal code, select type of sat receiver and you're done well done samsung
We have just bought the 48" version of this TV. Do you think it's necessary to calibrate it or are the out of the box settings good enough? We aren't very tech savvy so I would just be looking at calibration recommendations on the web and trying to follow them. Did you change any settings or leave it as it was? Thanks for your help
***** Gaming on a PS4, well that is soooo stupid plus you can just play 720p 30 FPS so yeah Get a PC It's much better and less expensive and you don't need to buy a new one every 2 years or so
G.GamerElite well if there weren't any PCs you wouldn't have any console games btw can you game in 4k 60 fps ? no you can't, you can game in 720p in 30 fps haha weak LONG LIVE THE PC MASTER RACE !!
I'm not sure what you call this but as I'm hard of hearing i normally watch tv with headphones on and the sound still comes through the tv for my girlfriend to hear unless muted of course lol so do you know if this tv would support that? headphones connected AND sound coming through the tv?
+chrisarmour1989 Hi Chris, I really don't know about that. Here are is a link to the specs - www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/tv-audio-video/televisions/hd-tvs/UE40H6400AKXXU This is no longer a current model but you can still get it from a few retailers. Richer Sounds do it for £399.00 I believe. However the price of 4k sets is coming down a lot now and you can get a decent 4k set for about that. Sorry not to be more help. Cheers Rowan
I spy some Mordaunt short 906i speakers in the background? Did Richer sounds sell you those too, they sold me mine ;) I hope they didn't talking you into a Cambridge audio amp to use with them though.
sexyjadebunny I think they supply an adapter. No problem really but I'm not convinced the smart functions would work correctly since it's a tv intended for a different region. Probably a way around this but I doubt I would like to shell out and find there wasn't one. Otherwise, great price.
thanks Rowan J Parker :D i was wrong, but here i did a comparison on the samsung website www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/comparison?prda=UE40H6200AKXXU&prdb=UE40H6400AKXXU Fox Logan
i think they have different panels, and from what i read the difference is noticable in favor of the 6400. i got the 6400 about a month ago and i have to say it is a great monitor and really fast in the smart section
That's a great price but it's on John Lewis' website as a Black Friday deal for £379.00 and that comes with a free 5 year guarantee as well.. It's the best deal on this set I've seen so far. Cheers Rowan
Their crap screens I've gone through two 46" ones 1st one had dead pixels second one has a shadow in the center of the screen, thinking of going lg next.

Hi, is not snowing while watching dynamic scenes - football matches ? ;)
How's the 2d experience without the 3d glasses to the naked eye?
Picture quality excellent.
Are you getting light bleeding out the rear of the set in a dark room, many thanks.
Not on this set though I've heard it can afflict some of these TV's. If it really bad get it exchanged.
How good is the audio in this set? Thanks.
Decent for a flat screen, however mine is attached to an AVR so I don't use the audio on the TV itself. Cheers R
Nice review. How would this set be for gaming(PS4)
I was wondering the same thing. ;)

hi, how do you like this vs your plasma?
Picture quality vey good. Always preferred Plasma THB but this is a very good set and great value for money
I spy some Mordaunt short 906i speakers in the background? Did Richer sounds sell you those too, they sold me mine ;) I hope they didn't talking you into a Cambridge audio amp to use with them though.
You may think that, I could not possibly comment...
Where did u get this at £450? I can only find it for £550.
It was a special offer at Richer Sounds, now back up to £529.00
It's on Pixmania now for £429.00 Cheapest I could find.
Hmmm, that one may be imported.
Imported? wouldn't that cause problems with the plug?

Its led not lcd as you say in the video
Led is the backlighting technology, it's a LCD screen. All LED tv's are.
