I dont care how long it takes, where is the fun and the excitement in that, I am 33 years and old and still get excited when I unlock a character, a weapon or a car I've been wanting. Just buy the SuperCharger and 2K stop excluding shit from it. I don't want to be forced to play your fucking story. I want to play the story because I want to play the story.
Games since the beginning of time have had you unlock stuff through game play, its people that say things like this that things are locked behind a pay wall. Unlocking stuff through gameplay is rewarding af. The happiness when you finally unlock things you've really wanted is amazing
It's 2025, buy the complete edition that's a hefty price if it's not on sale, even if it's on sale it's still a hefty price. So buy the DLC later. Grind and earn a small amount of WWE coins, that's going to take a lot of time and dedication. Buy the coins, just don't go overboard. I just bought the standard version of the game, then work my way to earn enough WWE coins, 6 months later finally unlocked almost all the features with those coins earned ( and bought). Just 2 more characters to go, then onward to WWE 2k25.
When you say play the game straight away what mode do you mean exactly? I beat myrise multiple times and it didn't unlock anyone. Isn't that the main "campaign" for the game?

It unlocks everybody however you still have to finish the showcase mode to unlock all the wm arenas
